In covering the work of Jim Lauderdale, we've met some devoted fans along the way who have been very friendly and helpful to us. First I met Patti Gee, who was kind enough to send me some CDs of Jim's that I didn't have, as well as an assorted video of TV spots and a video of Cotton Patch Gospel, Jim's first major musical. We owe her a lot and hope to meet her personally soon. Patti then put us together with a friend of hers in Austin, Jerald Corder of the Austin Chronicle.

Jerald was instrumental in helping us put together the list of Jim Lauderdale cuts, and he sent us comprehensive versions of these many covers that he had assembled over the years. We're grateful to him for sharing his research with us, and hope to do an Austin issue sometime soon and spend some time with him. We also thank Dan Ekbäck of Bluewater Music for the printout of Jim's cuts. Jerald's and Dan's lists each had cuts that the others didn't, so we'll pass the info around.
