As in the past, the continual support from the media is an essential component of the overall success of the competition. Our goal is to ensure that the hummel F-League receives coverage in a wide range of mediums and publications throughout NSW. These Media Guidelines are issued to ensure we provide the working media with the best possible opportunity to report both accurately and immediately from each match and to enable you to fulfil your working requirements. For us to achieve these goals we require your co-operation and support. Media passes are strictly for personnel authorised to hold Media Accreditation and must only be used while the holder is working at the game. Lodgement of a Football NSW media accreditation application form constitutes an agreement by the authorising media organisation and any person seeking accreditation to abide by the conditions as set out in the Football NSW Rules and Regulations. www.footballnsw.com.au 3 Media Accreditation The Football NSW Media and Communications Department manages all media and photographer accreditations for Football NSW Competitions. No television crew, film crew, or commercial video production company may shoot any footage of any official Football NSW matches without first obtaining permission in writing from Football NSW. This includes GUIDELINES MEDIA ‘stand-ups’ or ‘pieces to camera’ with the crowd, stadium and/or game in the background. Only Football NSW passes are valid at Football NSW fixtures. Football Federation Australia (formerly, Australian Football Association or Football Australia) media passes will not be observed as official accreditation. Spokespersons Media seeking interviews with club representatives should contact the relevant media contact. Media seeking comment from Football NSW on any issue should contact the Media and Communications Department in the first instance. Referees A Football NSW representative, match referee, or any other official, is not available to comment on any matter which is, or is likely to be, one for consideration within the Football NSW disciplinary context. Media Contacts The Football NSW Media and Communications Department is responsible for coordinating all media activity regarding the Hummel F-League. Each club has a designated contact responsible for the media activity of the club as well as attending to media enquires related to the club. Details of each club’s media representative are provided at the beginning of each club’s section in this guide. Filming of Football NSW Fixtures No person may film Football NSW fixtures for any commercial use, without first obtaining prior written approval from the Football NSW Media and Communications Department, at least 24 hours prior to such vision being sought. Television News crews are permitted to film fixtures for editorial and non-advertising purposes at the discretion of the host club or the Football NSW Media and Communications Department. Written approval may be necessary prior to such vision being sought. Press The Football NSW media pass will provide access to all Football NSW venue media areas on match days, including the press box and post match media conference room. At no point is access permitted to the dressing rooms or the field of play before, during or after the match, without the permission of a Football NSW or club official. Importantly, access to Media Boxes is for working, accredited media only. In the event of overcrowding in a media box at a game venue, preference will be given to immediate deadline press. 4 www.footballnsw.com.au Photographers Photographic accreditation to cover the hummel F-League 2013 season will only be granted on the express condition that photographs taken at all Football NSW authorised matches, official events or any event or occasion which displays Football NSW logos shall be used only for editorial and non-advertising purposes and MEDIA GUIDELINES MEDIA not for any commercial purpose other than as specified in the ‘Football NSW Media Accreditation Application Form’ (For the avoidance of doubt, commercial purposes include using photographs for licensing endorsements, merchandising, memorabilia or marketing). For the duration of the match, excluding team-line up shots pre kick-off, all accredited photographers must remain behind the perimeter fence. Permission for accredited photographers to shoot from the sidelines is at the discretion of match officials. The only exception to this rule is Football NSW's Official Photographer, who will be clearly identified, and is able to shoot from either sideline. Bibs shall be worn at all times whilst within the perimeters of the stadium and will only be issued by the home match officials to photographers accredited by Football NSW. Whilst within the perimeters of the stadium, photographer’s bibs must not be covered up by any other clothing (in case of inclement weather, etc, bibs must be worn OVER any other clothing). The use of artificial lighting by photographers in the form of flashlight is strictly prohibited. Disregard of any of the above will lead to the revoking of Photographers Accreditation. www.footballnsw.com.au 5 Match Reports Football NSW will file match report media releases to all relevant news agencies; following the fixtures. Match reports will contain exclusive content from the team coach, captain and/or significant player from the match. In addition, all match reports will also appear on the relevant Football NSW website. Media Preview and Review Reports GUIDELINES MEDIA The Football NSW Media and Communications Department will issue a preview media release for each round. A review media release will also be distributed by the Football NSW Media and Communications Department to all relevant news agencies. Image Rights Football NSW can provide high quality digital images to news agencies and organisations on the proviso that the images are used for editorial or non-commercial purposes. Stronger Together SYDNEY SCORPIONS STING JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM –2016/2017 Background & Objectives • For branding and marketing purposes this program will be known as Scorpions STING Junior Development program. Due to the congestion of the touch football representative calendar, one of the important objectives of STING is to provide players and parents early information in regards to our 2017 NTL T-League & Junior Regional teams. • STING aims to up-skill and develop players and coaches both within Scorpions regional teams and additionally through this newly acquired knowledge being taken back to the local affiliates at grass roots level. • Ideally many players that represent Scorpions Junior Regional 16’s & 18’s division will also play in the T- League teams. This should be leveraged as an advantage and opportunity for success and where possible the same coaches should be involved with these teams and the overall program. • A historical challenge has been in regards to limited player availability during the December-January school holiday period and also justified concerns of player burnout and a limited off-season. As such careful planning and communication is vital for increased opportunities for success of this program. • Additionally our T-League teams will be promoted as a pathway for players to be developed and given the required experience so they are ready for Elite 8 representation in future years. • Our newly formed Scorpions High Performance Unit will ultimately have ownership of this program and partner closely with our committee and technical arm in order to leverage success. STING Program Timelines . Initial T-League squads published – July 2016 .
