This volume of hitherto unpublished correspondence between Mrs. Jordan, the celebrated actress, and the Duke of Clarence, afterwards King William IV, with whom she lived for more than twenty years and by whom she had ten children, is based primarily on two collections of manuscripts: one in the possession of the Earl of Munster and the other in the possession of the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. They are much more than completely self-revealing love letters: no one interested in the history of the Stage during the quarter century ending in 1814 can afford to ignore them. Mrs. Jordan's banking account with Coutts & Co. has also been examined; together with the letters, it reveals the truth about her financial relations with the Duke, which have long been a matter of controversy. The correspondence is edited by the Professor of Modern History in the University of Reading, a recognised authority on that period. [From dustjacket notes] Sprache: english. Published: 09:33 BST, 11 November 2015 | Updated: 11:57 BST, 11 November 2015. A middle-aged mother and her two sons have been linked to a spate of tit-for-tat gang violence in Greater which left a young boy in hospital after he was shot on his doorstep. Catherine McCann, 53, and her sons Patrick and Jordan were issued court orders known as 'gang Asbos' which ban them from visiting certain areas of Salford. Along with 10 other suspected gang members, they are also banned from carrying a bat, hammer, wooden stick or knife in public under the terms of the court order. Family: Jordan McCann and his middle-aged mother Catherine have been handed injunctions following a spate of gang-related violence in Greater Manchester. Mother and son: Mrs McCann, left, and her 30-year-old son Patrick, right, are among 13 people given the injunctions which stop them going to certain parts of Salford. Record: Jordan McCann pictured left in 2008, when he was 16, and right in a more recent mugshot. In the past 16 months, there have been around 50 gang-related shootings in the city - dubbed 'Gangchester' after the outbreak of violence - leaving three men dead and at least 17 injured. Four weeks ago, seven-year-old Christian Hickey and his mother Jayne were shot on their doorstep in Salford by an unknown gunman who was apparently hunting for Mrs Hickey's ex-con husband, also called Christian. RELATED ARTICLES. Share this article. The pair are still in hospital with serious injuries as Christian fights to regain the ability to walk, and no one has yet been arrested over the double shooting while police continue to hunt for witnesses. Following the spate of violence, Greater Manchester Police announced yesterday that interim civil injunctions had been served on more than a dozen people under the Anti-Social behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Mrs McCann - nicknamed 'Mamma' - Patrick, 30, 21-year-old Jordan and their associates aged between 18 and 27 are banned from four streets where shootings have taken place in recent months. Banned: Jordan McCann and his mother are not allowed to carry hammers or sticks in public. Inmate: Jordan posing with notorious thug Ryan McDonald while the pair were both in prison. Victims: Christian Hickey, left, and his mother Jayne, right, were shot on their doorstep last month; police have not yet arrested anyone over the crime. They are also prohibited from being involved in conduct 'that causes or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to any person', while some are banned from seeing each other or chatting online. If any of them breach the conditions they could face jail, while a full hearing will later rule on whether to impose permanent injunctions after the interim orders expire in April. Jordan McCann got his first Asbo at the age of 13 for repeatedly throwing punches at a police community support officer outside a local shop. He has also posted pictures of himself in prison with Ryan McDonald, a notorious local thug now serving 20 years in jail for masterminding a break-out from a prison van. Order: Frankie Ward, 18, left, and Kane Morrison, 21, right, are subject to interim injunctions. Punishment: Joshua Barnes, 18, left, and Curtis O'Brien, 26, right, face jail if they break the injunction. Contact: Jordan Budgen, 18, left, and Ryan Deans, 27, right, are banned from speaking to one another. Mary Doyle of Greater Manchester Police said last night: 'These injunctions come after a series of violent incidents in Salford that we are determined to put a stop to. 'This is the first time that GMP has applied for these civil orders in Salford and this is just one of the ways that we are working to make our community a safer place to live. 'We need the community to pull together and tell us if any of these interim injunctions are breached, so we can take swift action. 'I want to remind people that they can come and speak to our officers, but if they don’t feel that they can do this, they can call Crimestoppers and remain completely anonymous.' The other suspects named in the latest round of injunctions are: Connor Holland, 20, Curtis O'Brien, 26, Jordan Budgen, 18, Kane Broadley, 20, Kane Morrison, 21, Ryan Deans, 27, Frankie Ward, 18, Matthew Barlow, 20, Steven Wimbleton, 21, and Joshua Barnes, 18, all of Little Hulton.
