UEFA European Under-21 Championship accreditation Deadline for application is 29 May

The final tournament of the 2009 UEFA European U-21 Championship will be played between Monday 15 June and Monday 29 June at four venues in : Göteborg, Halmstad, Helsingborg and Malmö. The hosts Sweden, Belarus, Italy and Serbia have been drawn into Group A (Helsingborg and Malmö) while Spain, Germany, England and Finland will play their Group B matches at the other two venues.

Media representatives wishing to attend the tournament must apply directly to UEFA and can do so as of today; Non-Broadcast media who are already registered with UEFA via the F.A.M.E. portal on uefa.com must apply using http://media.fame.uefa.com. Non-rights-holding radio and non-rights-holding TV applicants must use the http://broadcasters.fame.uefa.com. Rights-holding broadcasters should contact TEAM Marketing with regards to accreditation matters and other services.

UEFA is not responsible for ordering or reserving telephone lines at any of the stadiums used in the Final Tournament. The media working areas and media tribunes at the Gamla (Göteborg), Örjans Vall (Halmstad), Olympia (Helsingborg), Malmö New Stadium (Malmö) are equipped with WIFI connections. The media tribunes are also equipped with a limited number of pre-installed ADSL lines, allocation of which will be supervised by a UEFA Media Officer on site. Further details concerning connectivity will be sent with the confirmation of accreditation.

In case of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, please immediately advise UEFA Media Accreditation Services by e-mail to [email protected].

Media representatives who are not already registered with UEFA via the F.A.M.E portal will not be able to apply for accreditation until they have successfully completed the registration procedure, which is outlined on the following page.

Medium and large-scale media, broadcasters or radio organisations are invited to contact UEFA via [email protected] in order to receive detailed information on the Corporate Registration Process including the appointment of a Company Front Office User (CFOU - the person responsible for the data insertion of the organisation's staff and respective service requests). Once the registration is accepted by UEFA, applicants may login to request an accreditation using their username and password via the Media or Radio/Broadcasters' portals.
