Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire Population 27,004 Cambuslang in South Lanarkshire was a handloom weaving town in the 18th century. It is on an Iron Age site. The 20th century saw it become dominated by heavy industry including the Clydebridge Steelworks and Hoover. Today distribution and service industries are important.
