DANCE WEDNESDAY, INTENSIVE JULY 24 * * POINTE * LYRICAL * JAZZ* YOUTH LEVEL OPEN TO LOCAL DANCERS…. HIGH BEGINNER – INTERMEDIATE ALL MASTER CLASSES BY (no pointe class) Nicole Bonsall (~AGES 9-12) BSB students must have received her early training from her mother Julie Marie Bonsall. She spent her Summers training on completed Beg. II ballet full scholarship at such prestigious schools as The , and . 10:45-3:45 Throughout her professional career, she danced as a principal dancer with the , as well as $70 member of the Atlanta and Houston Ballet. She was honored to have danced for the Queen of Sweden and tour Taiwan performing Balanchine’s Four Temperaments. Ms. Bonsall continues to share her love of dance and technical expertise through teaching at several schools in the area, including Brighton UPPER LEVEL School of Ballet. In 2o18, she became certified in the ‘Progressing Ballet Technique’ to help dancers strengthen properly. In 2019, her debut pas de deux HIGH INTERMEDIATE - choreography won 3rd place at the Youth American Grand Prix. She encourages dancers to embrace artistry and following their true passion. PROFESSIONAL Becca Gardn (~AGES 13 & Up) has over 10+ years of teaching and choreography BSB students must have experience. Becca specializes in teaching contemporary/modern and jazz throughout the completed Int II ballet. Michigan area. Her choreography recently won her the honor of, “choreographer of the year” at the Youth 10:00 – 3:45 American Grand Prix in 2017. She has developed her own modern syllabus and enjoys expanding dancer’s $80 knowledge through improv techniques. Her students have gone on to receive top scholarships at outstanding programs most recently being, Pointe Park, University of the Arts, Butler, and Western Michigan University. During her time in college, Becca studied Public Relations and Dance, choosing to focus on choreography and modern syllabus. Recently, she coached a student to first place at the World Art Ballet competition (2018) and received BRIGHTON outstanding choreography at the same competition in 2017. This summer, Becca was chosen to set a piece as an established choreographer at the Eisenhower dance summer intensive. She currently works at two local Michigan studios and SCHOOL OF travels in the summer to set pieces and do master classes. Her competition pieces have gone on to win many regional and national choreography awards. Becca grew up training at several studios across all styles of ballet, tap, jazz, BALLET contemporary, and modern. She loves the providing young dancers feedback and finds the process strengthens her ability to communicate to young dancers. 431 W.
