PROCESSIONS takes place in Central London on Sunday 10th June 2018 This letter contains essential information about how the PROCESSIONS event could impact on your business or where you live. PROCESSIONS is a mass participation artwork to celebrate one hundred years of votes for women. On Sunday 10th of June, women and girls will walk together wearing either green, white or violet scarves, the colours of the Suffragette movement, to create a flowing river of colour through the city streets. The event is produced by Artichoke and commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK’s arts programme for the First World War centenary. Find out more about the project at: processions.co.uk. We are expecting at least 40,000 participants. Participants will begin to gather from 12.15pm on Park Lane (southbound) with the PROCESSION starting at 14:00. The event is due to finish by 18:00. Please note that these timings are subject to change and will depend on the number of people taking part. We are working closely with Westminster City Council, the Metropolitan Police and Transport for London to minimise the impact on the local area and ensure that the event runs as smoothly as possible for everyone.
