Bus Stop Closures (January 1st 2020)

At 1200 hours, the annual London Parade will set out from the Piccadilly and parade via Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square where it will disperse.

The following roads will not be reopened following New Year’s Eve Celebrations, Piccadilly, Whitehall, Lower Regent Street, Haymarket, Waterloo Place, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Strand Westbound and Shaftesbury Avenue Westbound, Parliament Square, Bridge Street, Millbank and Victoria Street. Will be curtailed to terminate at Lambeth Bridge from the south and until Parliament Square has reopened.

Route 6

Will be curtailed to terminate at Hyde Park Corner from the north and until Trafalgar Square has reopened from 6:30 PM Route 9

Will be curtailed to terminate at Hyde Park Corner from the west and until Trafalgar Square has reopened. Route 11 EASTBOUND – towards Liverpool Street Station From Victoria Street at Artillery Row will then be diverted via, right Artillery Row, left Greycoat Place, right Horseferry Road, ahead Lambeth Bridge, left Lambeth Palace Road, ahead Addington Street, right York Road, left Waterloo Bridge, ahead Lancaster Place, ahead Aldwych Western arm and line of route.

WESTBOUND – towards Fulham From Strand at Lancaster Place will then be diverted via, left Lancaster Place, ahead Waterloo Bridge, right York Road, left Addington Street, ahead Lambeth Palace Road, right Lambeth Bridge, ahead Horseferry Road, left Greycoat Place, right Artillery Row, left Victoria Street and line of route.

Route 12 Will be curtailed to terminate at County Hall from the south and until Whitehall has fully re- opened. Terminating buses must stand in the Southbound bus lane only on Lambeth Palace Road. A maximum of 3 buses at any time. On departure buses should continue ahead Lambeth Palace Road, circumnavigate Lambeth Bridge roundabout and ahead Lambeth Palace Road to Westminster Bridge Road and line of route. Under no circumstances are buses to stand on the northbound Carriageway (St Thomas’s hospital side of the road) Route 14 EASTBOUND - towards Warren Street From Hyde Park Corner at Park Lane will then be diverted via, left Park Lane, left Cumberland Gate, right Tyburn Way, right Marble Arch, ahead Oxford Street, right Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus and line of route.

WESTBOUND - towards Putney Heath From Bloomsbury Street at New Oxford Street will then be diverted via right New Oxford Street, ahead Oxford Street, left Park Lane to Hyde Park Corner and line of route.

Route 15 Will be curtailed to terminate at Aldwych from the east until Trafalgar Square has fully reopened.

Route 19 EASTBOUND - towards Finsbury Park From Hyde Park Corner at Park Lane will then be diverted via, left Park Lane, left Cumberland Gate, right Tyburn Way, right Marble Arch, ahead Oxford Street, right Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus and line of route.

WESTBOUND - towards Battersea From New Oxford Street at Bloomsbury Street will then be diverted via, ahead New Oxford Street, ahead Oxford Street, left Park Lane, ahead Hyde Park Corner and normal line of route.

Route 22 Will be curtailed to terminate at Hyde Park Corner from the west and until Piccadilly has fully reopened.

Route 24 NORTHBOUND – towards Hampstead Heath From Victoria Street at Artillery Row will then be diverted via, right Artillery Row, left Greycoat Place, right Horseferry Road, ahead Lambeth Bridge, left Lambeth Palace Road, ahead Addington Street, right York Road, left Waterloo Bridge, ahead Lancaster Place, ahead Aldwych western arm, left Kingsway, left High Holborn, bear right New Oxford Street bus lane, ahead New Oxford Street, right Tottenham Court Road and normal line of route.

SOUTHBOUND – towards Pimlico From St Martin’s Place at Duncannon Street will then be diverted via, left Duncannon Street, ahead Strand, ahead Aldwych western and eastern arms, right Strand, left Lancaster Place, ahead Waterloo Bridge, right York Road, left Addington Street, ahead Lambeth Palace Road, right Lambeth Bridge, ahead Horseferry Road, left Greycoat Place, right Artillery Row, left Victoria Street and line of route.

Route 29 Will be curtailed to terminate at Tottenham Court Road from the north until Trafalgar Square has fully reopened.

Buses for Tottenham Court Road Should divert from Hampstead Road at Euston Road will then be diverted via bear right Euston Slip, right Gower Street to stand at Bloomsbury Street.

Route 38 NORTHBOUND – towards Clapton Pond From Hyde Park Corner at Park Lane will then be diverted via, left Park Lane, left Cumberland Gate, right Tyburn Way, right Oxford Street, right Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus and normal line of route.

SOUTHBOUND – towards Victoria From at New Oxford Street at Bloomsbury Street will then be diverted via, ahead New Oxford Street, ahead Oxford Street, left Park Lane, ahead Hyde Park Corner and normal line of route.

Route 87 Will be curtailed to terminate at Lambeth Bridge from the south and until Parliament Square has reopened.

Route 88 NORTHBOUND – towards Parliament Hill Fields From Marsham Street at Horseferry Road will then be diverted via, right Horseferry Road, ahead Lambeth Bridge, left Lambeth Palace Road, ahead Addington Street, right York Road, left Waterloo Bridge, ahead Lancaster Place, ahead Aldwych western arm, left Kingsway, left High Holborn, bear right New Oxford Street bus lane, ahead New Oxford Street, ahead Oxford Street, right Regent Street and line of route.

SOUTHBOUND – towards Waterloo From Piccadilly Circus at Shaftesbury Avenue will then be diverted via, left Shaftesbury Avenue, right Charing Cross Road, left Duncannon Street and normal line of route.

Route 148 SOUTHBOUND – towards Camberwell From Victoria Street at Artillery Row will then be diverted via, right Artillery Row, left Greycoat Place, right Horseferry Road, ahead Lambeth Bridge, left Lambeth Palace Road, right Westminster Bridge Road and line of route.

Route 159 Will be curtailed to terminate at County Hall from the south and until Whitehall has reopened. Terminating buses must stand in the Southbound bus lane only on Lambeth Palace Road. A maximum of 3 buses at any time. On departure buses should continue ahead Lambeth Palace Road, circumnavigate Lambeth Bridge roundabout and ahead Lambeth Palace Road to Westminster Bridge Road and line of route.
