LCC Corporate Property Management had been asked to complete a number of repairs including repairing the lights in the car park. 2.3 CW reported on behalf of PCSO Mick Cox that the potential project at Swinnow Primary School would not now be pursued as the parents needed to use that area for parking. 2.4 In relation to minute 4.5, CW reported that funding for an additional lay- by and parking scheme on the eastern side of Lidget Hill was still being pursued.

    There were record attendances at HEA activities throughout 2018 Inside this issue and seasonal activities were very popular. During the excellent Winter Newsletter 2019 summer we enjoyed trips to the coast, a river cruise and HEA’s first BBQ by the sea, on Holbeck Moor! Christmas activities were HEA news and Events extensive and the months preceding Christmas whizzed by with 2 & 3 attendances at some events topping 95 people. The development of Community Outreach working alongside Leeds City Council’s Housing Team at the new 4 & 5 Support Hub based at 5 Recreation View, has enabled HEA to Friends of HEA 6 & 7 outreach and to support more people in the community of all ages. HEA are delighted that during the latter months of 2018 we have Community News 8 secured funding from The Big Lottery for “The Holbeck Community HEA Upcoming events 9 Matters” project, The NHS - “Power of Communities” project and Leeds City Council’s “Innovation Fund”, which allow us to sustain Upcoming events 10 the provision of high quality services, reduce social isolation and Weekly activities 11 develop new services in the community. Partnerships with Northern Quarterly Trips 12 Monk Brewery enabled us to launch a “Humans of Holbeck” calendar, Leeds United have very generously provided a lunch at Elland Road and CEG have provided resources to support our future business planning.     PRESS RELEASE IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mayors lead the way on fixing Northern transport Northern Metro Mayors Andy Burnham, Tracy Brabin, Steve Rotheram, Jamie Driscoll and Dan Jarvis have joined forces to stand up for passengers and set out their vision for transport in the North. The Northern Transport Summit brought together business and political leaders from across the region to shape future plans to build a safe, efficient, clean, sustainable and accessible transport system which will form the foundations to rebuild the North’s full economic potential. Experts rallied for investment in infrastructure and putting connectivity at the heart of the levelling up agenda. Including calls to build back better transport to reduce the inequalities between passengers in the North and South and improve access to job opportunities across the region. Can you also tell me the number of prosecutions there have been for the above offences and how many of those resulted in a conviction? Please see the attached document. West Yorkshire Police receive reports of crimes that have occurred following a victim having their drink spiked, crimes such as rape, sexual assault, violence with or without injury and theft. West Yorkshire Police take all offences seriously and will ensure that all reports are investigated. Specifically for victims of rape and serious sexual offences, depending on when the offence occurred, they would be offered an examination at our Sexual Assault Referral Centre, where forensic samples, including a blood sample for toxicology can be taken, with the victim’s consent, if within the timeframes and guidance from the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine. West Yorkshire Police work with support agencies to ensure that all victims of crime are offered support through the criminal justice process, including specialist support such as from Independent Sexual Violence Advisors. Eight seats changed hands in the 1987 Parliament at by-elections. The Conservatives lost four seats to Labour and three to the Liberal Democrats. Labour lost Glasgow, Govan to the SNP. The merger of the Liberal Party and Social Democratic Party took place in March 1988 with the party named the Social and Liberal Democrats. This was changed to Liberal Democrats in 1989.

The 30-strong team were joined by Regional Secretary, Neil Having a Gas Derrick and Batley & Spen MP, Tracy Brabin, for a day of campaigning. #RunForJo The morning session kicked-off in Liversedge to campaign for Jude McKaig, with plenty of door-knocking and leaflet distribution. Then it was back to the GMB Activist Centre in Cleckheaton to meet up with Angela Rayner MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Education, PRIDE 2018 who came along to show her support for both candidates.
