The Offspring klara för Live på Liseberg 27 juni 2018 2018-01-31 08:00 CET The Offspring (US) klara för Live på Liseberg Nöjesparken fyller på med artister för sommarens Live på Liseberg. Näst ut är The Offspring (US) – den punkrockande kvartetten och MTV-fenomenet som blåste liv i punken på 90-talet. Senast 1999 spelade de på Liseberg och nu kommer de återigen till Stora Scenen. Först blir det support av det svenska skatepunkbandet No Fun At All som inleder kvällen, den 27 juni. The Offspring, som startades 1983, slog igenom stort 1994 med Smash: bandets tredje album. De tog punken tillbaka till de breda massorna och låtar som Self-Esteem och Gotta get away blev stora hits på MTV och topplistorna. The Offsprings platta Americana blev bandets mest framgångsrika platta, med kända singlar som Pretty fly for a white guy och Your’re gonna go far, kid. Hits som ingen med tv-kanalen MTV under 90- och 00-talet kan ha missat. Det blir en minst sagt nostalgisk konsert för många framför Stora Scenen. Bandet består av frontsångaren Dexter Holland, basisten Greg K., gitarristen Noodles och trummisen Pete Parada. De har flera gånger tidigare spelat i Sverige. – Senast The Offspring spelade på Liseberg var 1999, på Stora Scenen, säger Per Alexandersson, Lisebergs underhållningschef. Det blir en favorit i repris, nu nästan 20 år senare. Innan The Offspring går upp på Stora Scenen igen får de support av det svenska bandet No Fun At All. Sedan starten 1991 etablerade NFAA sig som ett av Sveriges största skatepunkband, med älskade album som No straight angles och Out of bounds. 1994 öppnade de för The Offspring i Göteborg och nu är det dags igen! Lagom till konserten i juni släpper de dessutom nytt album. Kl 19 står de redo på Stora Scenen för att kickstarta kvällen innan The Offspring går upp kl 21.
