However, the BBC has confirmed Torchwood: Children of Earth will be broadcast on the BBC Worldwide owned Foxtel cable channel UKTV in early July. While the BBC had no confirmed screening dates in the UK, its first run must follow mid June and break the month gap.

Benjamin F. Elliott, the author of This Week in Doctor Who for the last 11 years has written an open letter to broadcasters arguing for unified worldwide screenings (available from http://gallifreyone.com/thisweek.php). The Restoration Team was founded in 1992 when a group of BBC employees approached then BBC archivist Paul Lee about acting in an unofficial capacity on Doctor Who releases. The BBC gave the Team a great deal of latitude and it was in this environment in 1999 that Roberts launched a forum on the Restoration Team site.
