Over 70 per cent of disabled children have sleep problems. Lack of sleep can affect learning, mood, behaviour and health, and can affect not only the Scope disabled child but often the whole family. During the summer Sir Tom Finney Community High School, Preston’s secondary special school, moved from its old premises on Blackpool Road and relocated to purposely designed and newly refurbished premises, with a new build extension, at Ribbleton Hall Drive, on the site of the old City of Preston High School. The performance hall is fully fitted with lighting rigs and sound systems and is big enough to host the whole school all together, along with a large audience.

Upstairs there are meeting rooms, staff workrooms and a conference facility designed for up to 40 attendees.
