Preston Funding Consortium Preston Funding Consortium Introduction At recent meetings of the VCFS forum Preston City Council have consulted the sector about the future of their grant programme for the sector. They have indicated that they are minded to; 1. Set aside a funding pot of approx £130k for the financial year beginning April 2016 2. Announce a call for applications in October 2015 3. Prioritise funding on the single theme of financial inclusion. (see attached document re the Council's grant funding priority) 4. Welcome a single bid from a consortium of local VCFS groups which would • simplify the management and monitoring processes for the Council • deliver added value by collaborative working and mutual signposting and cross referrals • ensure coverage and service delivery to the priority group of financially excluded residents across the city making sure that all key priority / deprived neighbourhoods and communities of interest and identity were included in service provision. In consequence a sub group of the VCFS forum has been meeting and has made a commitment to put together a consortium bid. Our first step is to identify potential partners and your aspirations to provide services in this area of work. To do this we are asking you to complete this short online survey before the end of July. Page 1 Preston Funding Consortium Who are you? *1. What is the name of your organisation? 2.
