Columbus Blue Jackets Announce Several Roster Moves FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: APRIL 10, 2021 COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ANNOUNCE SEVERAL ROSTER MOVES COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forwards Zac Dalpe and Kole Sherwood and defenseman Scott Harrington from the taxi squad and added defensemen Andrew Peeke and Gavin Bayreuther to the taxi squad from the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Dalpe, 31, has notched a goal and six shots in five games with the Blue Jackets this season, including his first goal with the club on April 6 vs. Tampa Bay. The Paris, Ontario native has posted 13-13-26 and 36 penalty minutes in 146 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes. The 6-2, 194-pound center has 1-1-2 and 13 penalty minutes in 18 career contests with the Blue Jackets from 2017-21. He has added 151-134-285, 185 penalty minutes and a cumulative +17 plus/minus rating in 383 career AHL games, including 3- 1-4 and five penalty minutes in five outings with Cleveland in 2020-21. Sherwood, 24, has tallied 3-1-4 with 17 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in nine games with Cleveland this season and has 29-13-42 and 144 penalty minutes in 110 career AHL games over the past four seasons. The New Albany, Ohio native has collected two penalty minutes in five career NHL games with the Blue Jackets. He appeared in two games with Columbus during the 2018-19 season, including his NHL debut at Chicago on Feb. 16, 2019, and logged three games with the club during the 2019-20 campaign. Harrington, 28, has recorded 1-2-3 and four penalty minutes in six games with Columbus this season. The Kingston, Ontario native has notched 7-30-37 and 69 penalty minutes in 197 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins since making his League debut in 2014-15. Originally drafted by Pittsburgh in the second round, 54th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft, the 6-2, 206-pound blueliner was acquired by Columbus in a trade from Toronto on June 25, 2016. Peeke, 22, has registered two assists with four shots and an “even” plus/minus rating in six games with the Blue Jackets this season. He made his NHL debut in 2019-20 and recorded 1-2-3 with four penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 22 games with the club. The Parkland, Florida native has added 5-15-20 and eight penalty minutes in 36 career AHL games with Cleveland, including 0-4-4 and two penalty minutes in seven outings in 2020-21. The 6-3, 197-pound blueliner was drafted by the Blue Jackets in the second round, 34th overall, at the 2016 NHL Draft. Bayreuther, 26, has collected 2-3-5 and 10 penalty minutes in 19 career NHL games, all with the Dallas Stars in 2019-20. Signed by Columbus as a free agent last October, he has notched 1-9-10 and 11 penalty minutes in 10 outings with Cleveland this season. In 208 career AHL games, he has 23-78-101 and 91 penalty minutes with the Monsters and Texas Stars. He collected 35-76-11 and 92 penalty minutes in 142 career games at St Lawrence University (ECAC) from 2013- 17. The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. (AP) — Buffalo Sabres forward Cody McCormick has been released from the hospital after being treated for having a blood clot in his leg. Coach Ted Nolan said following practice Monday that McCormick is recuperating at home. Nolan called it a good sign, but cautioned there is no timetable for the player's return. McCormick was hospitalized over the weekend after the clot was discovered. He scored his first goal of the season in a 2-1 loss at Tampa Bay on Friday. The Sabres called up forwards Phil Varone and Zac Dalpe from their AHL affiliate in Rochester. Dalpe has yet to play for the Sabres since signing with the team last summer. Varone is back in Buffalo after playing three games last week. Buffalo hosts Detroit on Tuesday night. The team also announced today it has recalled forward Zac Dalpe from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Carter, 33 (8/3/83), skated in three games with the Iowa Wild (AHL) after signing a professional tryout agreement (PTO) on Feb. 18. He tallied 12 points (7-5=12) and 48 penalty minutes (PIM) in 60 regular season games with Minnesota last season and skated in two Stanley Cup Playoff contests. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of White Bear Lake, Minn., led the team in PIM and ranked fourth in hits with 87, his most since the 2011-12 season. Carter also recorded a career-high 37 blocked shots. He has totaled 93 points (41-52=93) and 444 PIM in 473 career games during nine NHL seasons with Anaheim, Carolina, Florida, New Jersey and Minnesota. Carter has collected 12 points (7-5=12) and 48 PIM in 46 playoff games and won a Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007. He played two seasons at Minnesota State University – Mankato (2004-06) before signing as a free agent with the Ducks on July 12, 2006.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: APRIL 12, 2021 COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ANNOUNCE SEVERAL ROSTER MOVES COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forwards Ryan MacInnis, Kole Sherwood and defenseman Andrew Peeke from the taxi squad and added forwards Josh Dunne, Nathan Gerbe and defenseman Adam Clendening to the taxi squad from the American Hockey League’s Cleveland Monsters, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. MacInnis, 25, made his 2020-21 season debut on March 18 at Carolina and has skated in six games with the club. He made his NHL debut in 2019-20, recording an assist and a +1 plus/minus rating in 10 games with the Blue Jackets. The St. Louis, Missouri native has added 26-61-87 and 133 penalty minutes in 250 career American Hockey League contests, including 1-1-2 in five appearances with the Cleveland Monsters in 2020-21. The 6-4, 201-pound forward was acquired in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes on July 18, 2018. He was originally selected by the Coyotes in the second round, 43rd overall, at the 2014 NHL Draft. Sherwood, 24, made his Blue Jackets season debut on Saturday vs. Chicago and has added 3-1-4 with 17 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in nine games with Cleveland this season. The New Albany, Ohio native has collected two penalty minutes in five career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and has 29-13-42 and 144 penalty minutes in 110 career AHL games over the past four seasons. He appeared in two games with Columbus during the 2018-19 season, including his NHL debut at Chicago on Feb.
