  • CA Students Urge Assembly Members to Pass AB
May 26, 2021 The Honorable Members of the California State Assembly State Capitol Sacramento, CA 95814 RE: Thousands of CA Public School Students Strongly Urge Support for AB 101 Dear Members of the Assembly, We are a coalition of California high school and college students known as Teach Our History California. Made up of the youth organizations Diversify Our Narrative and GENup, we represent 10,000 youth leaders from across the State fighting for change. Our mission is to ensure that students across California high schools have meaningful opportunities to engage with the vast, diverse, and rich histories of people of color; and thus, we are in deep support of AB101 which will require high schools to provide ethnic studies starting in academic year 2025-26 and students to take at least one semester of an A-G approved ethnic studies course to graduate starting in 2029-30. Our original petition made in support of AB331, linked here, was signed by over 26,000 CA students and adult allies in support of passing Ethnic Studies. Please see appended to this letter our letter in support of AB331, which lists the names of all our original petition supporters. We know AB101 has the capacity to have an immense positive impact on student education, but also on student lives as a whole. For many students, our communities continue to be systematically excluded from narratives presented to us in our classrooms. By passing AB101, we can change the precedent of exclusion and allow millions of students to learn the histories of their peoples.

  • I'll Trade My Soul for You
I'll Trade My Soul For You Taeyeon is a girl who has a long crush for her best friend. She has loved her since when she was still in college up until now. She didn’t have the courage to confess because she knew her best friend isn’t gay like her so she poured all of her feelings through the stories she uploaded in AFF. One day a reader named Tiffany Hwang entered her life. They started their relationship as a mere reader and writer. The relationship expanded vastly from being strangers to friends and finally best friends. However Tiffany is not an ordinary girl. She has a gift which allows her to predict future and read people’s mind. When Taeyeon finally acknowledged her feeling for her best friend has changed and shifted to her reader, Tiffany Hwang; the girl suddenly vanished and left her a goodbye message. The story will tell about how Taeyeon tried hard to find the reason behind Tiffany’s leaving and how she would do almost anything just to bring Tiffany back to her embrace. My Family, My Life, My Love, and My Special Reader.. My name is Taeyeon, full name is Kim Taeyeon but people usually call me Taeyeon or Taeng or Taengoo, well it actually depends on who is the one who calls me. Governor State of Hawaii DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE 1428 South King Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96814-2512 Phone: (808) 973-9600 FAX: (808) 973-9613 TESTIMONY OF SCOTT E. ENRIGHT CHAIRPERSON, BOARD OF AGRICULTURE BEFORE THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON WATER & LAND MARCH 21, 2018 10:15 A.M. CONFERENCE ROOM 325 SENATE BILL NO. 2524 SD1 RELATING TO COUNTY LAND USE REQUIREMENTS Chairperson Yamane and Members of the Committee: Thank you for the opportunity to testify on Senate Bill No. 2524 SD1 that: 1. Requires certain leasehold agricultural subdivisions to comply with county subdivision standards (Section 205-4.5(f)). 2. Requires CPRs to conform with county zoning, subdivision and other permitting requirements, and Chapter 205; (Section 514B-5); 3. Offer the counties the option of adopting supplemental ordinances and rules governing CPRs established under Chapter 514B; and 4. Include as a requirement for registering CPRs on agricultural or preservation zoned land, a verified and signed statement by a county official that the project is in compliance with supplemental county ordinances, county subdivision standards, and other rules adopted pursuant to Section 514B-6 The Department of Agriculture supports attempts to uniformly require condominium property regimes of agricultural land to comply with county ordinances, rules, and plans. This is particularly important with respect to large acreage CPRs. We would like to note that the Section 514B-5 (conformance with county land use laws) already requires condominium property regimes to conform to the purposes and provisions of Chapter 205 (Page 3, line 18 to page 4, line 7), and not only Section 205- 4.6 (private restrictions on agricultural activity not allowed).
