For those who wish to donate to the foodbank, Cults Church have collection points in Sainsburys and Tesco Cults and at the Scotmid in Bieldside. For those who wish to donate to the foodbank, St Columba’s ask for collections to be placed in the charity collection trolleys in Asda and Tesco Bridge of Don. There is a weekly food collection undertaken by Catalyst Vineyard Church where by a van parks in the Jesmond Centre car park, off Jesmond Drive, every Friday from 4-5pm. Items for food banks can be placed in bins at the rear of the vehicle.

The congregation are keeping in contact with members though the production of a newsletter and a printed, word-for-word Sunday service which are distributed weekly, by email and by post. If you would like to receive them, and perhaps to adapt them for your own local use, please contact the church.

They are also keeping in touch with the congregation by a system of telephone calls. And involved in the Aberdeen City Council co-ordinated response, providing local volunteers to help when needed.

In order to assist within the local community, the congregations of South Holburn, Ferryhill and Ruthrieston West Churches have been involved with a Facebook Group for those in the community to offer support and practical help. The congregation have set up a Telephone Tree – whereby they are contacting members without internet access. They are also hosting a. Virtual Vestry on a Wednesday at 7pm utilising the ‘Zoom’ conference facilities. Furthermore, there is a shared Sunday evening discussion group with Ferryhill and Ruthrieston West via Zoom.
