FEB. 1983 TO CONTINUE (IIT ROORKEE, INDIA): The field experience gained at executive level has been useful in research work on field problems related to irrigation, hydropower and flood control and to impart job-oriented training to in-service professionals from Afro-Asian countries at Department of Water Resources Development and Management. As follow up of Bandung Conference (Indonesia) this premier training center (now department) was established in 1955. Since its inception, more than 2220 engineers and scientists from Afro- Asian countries have received their training at this center. I have contributed to fostering the feeling of brotherhood among the engineers of various countries.

DEC. 1971 TO FEB. 1983 (CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION, GOVT. OF INDIA): Selected as Class I Officer through All India Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission and joined service on 13.12.1971.Conducted investigations in Godavari and Mahanadi basins and flood forecasting in Narmada basin. Flood forecasting for Hoshangabad town and Tawa dam was a challenging assignment, which was handled successfully. Hydrologic stations were installed, operated and data analyzed. Preparation of a perspective plan for development of Ganga and Brahmaputra basins were the major assignments, completed during this period.

 1979:Japan: 10 months specialist course in Irrigation and Drainage at Uchihara International Agriculture Training Centre in Japan (1979)

 July 1971 to December 1971 (U.P. Irrigation Department): Selected by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission as Assistant Engineer. Received in-service training and carried out design of irrigation projects.
