It needs to include apartments, smaller homes, hotels, and other opportunities for both visitors 10 Opportunity and locals who work on our service industries to be able to afford and enjoy our island. 11 Opportunity do not allow development of any kind on this side of the road 12 Opportunity do not allow development passed this point more water front restaurants would be amazing! Especially 16 Issue in Nov-Jan when delivery trucks use this lot, it is disturbing to homes across the water as large lights shine onto our homes at all hours. Short term rentals-a host of problems experienced in other cities including 17 Issue entities buying properties to do STR making residential property unaffordable among other STR problems Control trash, regular trash pickups for sensitive areas, policy to reduce one use 18 Issue plastics. Manage beaches in a way that allows for natural occurrences to be left 19 Issue (sargassum) , stop putting hard structures in coastal zone , jetties, sea walls , bollards, etc. Schlitterbahn was an enormous boondoggle - why should we trust the city on 20 Issue anything?

56 Padre/Mustang Island

Other Ideas Comments Issue or # Comment Opportunity City of CC so poorly mismanaged. Things such as clean water, streets, 21 Issue budgeting, proper vetting of projects that are normal in other business or cities are unknown here. Very disappointing. 22 Issue Sewer lift station smells up neighborhood 23 Issue PR22 bridge and canal project delays. Sea Pines road is very bumpy and constantly forming pot holes. It needs a mill 24 Issue and overlay. 25 Issue Sprawl development with no permeable surfaces or green areas protected If you want to do something to this intersection you will need to stop 26 Issue development and probably buy the gas station. Educate residents and tourists on environmental preservation issues, land use, 27 Issue climate change, sea level rise. Plan ahead! I am very concerned that the development of the pedestrian bridge and related 28 Issue development will only exacerbate flooding problems, and if construction is not to a higher standard, will only put more assets at risk from coastal storms The Waves Resort is both an issue and opportunity. This facility could be a beacon of an example of positive development and community partnership 29 Issue and family fun, while offering community services like hurricane preparedness and community involvement fo This dirt path, create from people driving their vehicles across the property as a "short cut" is an eye sore and unnecessary. Recommend enforcing this by 30 Issue talking to property owners and requesting a sign be put in place prohibiting this. This deteriorated golf course is an eye sore and poor representation of property 31 Issue management. Recommend strict enforcement on maintaining the property if no development is being invested by owners. Roads are in bad shape. Aquarius is particularly bad in part due to the fire trucks 32 Issue using it to access the southern neighborhoods. The road should be rebuilt stronger. Tax appraisal --- Our properties are appraised at more that market value -- 33 Issue unlike rest of city Leave the beaches alone. Very few places in the country where you can enjoy 34 Issue natural beaches without all the commercial garbage. 35 Comment Issue: Mosquito control this is related to flooding The beach front development is a huge problem. This area with balance can 36 Comment be a great asset ,can be developed but zoning challenges need to be changed 37 Comment Add more variety of food/entertainment 38 Comment Trashy areas. And restrooms gross 39 Comment Issue, environment is going to be hurt if you continue to overbuild.

What is your Vision for the Island?

Vision # Feedback 1 A safe environment that fosters an environment of economic and personal productivity. My vision for the island is to have sidewalks within the community for walking and biking, to add community amenities such as a outdoor pavilion & community center/pool. That packery channel gets urgent repairs completed. That our storm water system is improved. To have more restrictions on home builders so that continuity is not lost. To restrict short term rentals within the residential community. To add more retail shopping options and quality 2 dining options. That the curb appeal when entering the island is cleaned up on both sides of Park Rd 22. To improve drainage ditches along park rd 22. To either widen park rd 22 or clean up the medians. Padre Island is behind the times for our beach community. It seems to have been ignored for many, many years. We would prefer to see this community cleaned up, infrastructure improved, community amenities added, sidewalks added and street lights added BEFORE more home and condo developments are added. Going downhill FAST. Would love to see a toll bridge similar to Sanibel and Captiva Island in 3 Florida To have a safe place to raise my family, to have neighbors that care for each other’s properties 4 and cleaning up after their pets, and to have better road pavement conditions. Their is a lack of entertainment options that are family friendly. 5 keeping it small enough to feel like a neighborhood. North padre to be more of a destination like port A or S padre, with cohesive development 6 with mix of shopping and dining, connected via water and walking access 7 Safer walkways and bikeways all over, less crime 8 Family oriented, crime free place to live. 9 Quality of life 10 A family friendly community where people can enjoy living and feel safe. Keep it simple. No big chain restaurants or business. Locally owned and operated only. Family 11 friendly. More development with fun gathering places and activities especially for families. More USABLE parks, not directly paid for by community. Island has lots of potential to be destination 12 area but lacking big time, city seems to run off any new business opportunity. Open up more water lots for residential development. 13 Entertainment, marinas, and some decent sidewalks and bike paths to beach areas Safe healthy environment where folks come to work, play and live. Clean beaches. Updated 14 water and sewer infrastructure, well maintained streets and adequate Police presence. A balance of preservation recreation for families with social quality retail focusing on local 15 business 16 Keeping homeless out and more recreational opportunities I would like to see more family entertainment/restaurants here like Lulus as well as boutique 17 shopping.

59 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback Stay as natural as possible, preserve the land reduce inappropriate business ie Schlitterbaun/ 18 waves eyesore and non productive with tax dollars. 19 Planned growth in an organized manner 20 Quite place to raise a family, and for retired persons 21 A community for living, working and building lives I am proud of where I live but feel it is below standards of other coastal areas as far as littering, 22 variety of restaurants and litter free beaches. 23 less rumors and live in peace. I would love to see our island have a large community center, recreational areas and golf cart/ 24 bike paths. 25 Trash free beaches and roads. 26 Better streets, safer neighborhoods 27 More family friendly gathering locations, community pool or city pool! 28 More parks and recreation! A community pool and sidewalks! 29 Becoming a self sustaining community that fosters growth. To have sidewalks in neighborhoods, a public pool, tennis courts, updated aquarius park, 30 splash pad, more bike paths 31 Stay true to this island and don’t become another SPI or Galveston. 32 North Padre has untapped potential To have a healthy beautiful island where my children can grow up with different types of 33 opportunities but still have the feel of the "small town" community that we have come to love. 34 Wonderful place to live and tour 35 A walkable community with safe neighborhoods. 36 Keeping the Island clean and reducing rental properties both long and short term. 37 Keep it the way it is A peaceful, safe community with more choices for dining and shopping available by boat via a 38 new bridge on Park Rd 22. My vision is a much more developed island with the bridge finished, many more businesses and jobs for locals along with places to go eat relax for us and vacationers. A large marina on 39 Lake Padre would be amazing and a huge benefit to our area. Also more outside recreation areas. Lastly the ability to short term rent our homes if we wanted or needed 40 Safe and clean place for families Safety, law enforcement presence, roads to drive on that don’t ruin the alignment of a vehicle, 41 a true diner and no more specialty restaurants, more golf cart access, a grocery store 42 Fun place to play and live A beautiful beach neighborhood with hiking and biking trails, along with great restaurants 43 and recreation options. 44 Responsible growth, easy walking, biking.

60 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback 45 Access between whitecap and JP luby 46 Keep the empty lots mowed. Cuts down on snakes, rats, coyotes etc 47 Walkable venues and water access to restaurants. Develop more retail and resort type businesses to support the vacationers and locals. Better 48 patrol of the beach area and residential roads during holidays, crime and bad behavior issues. 49 Keeping it rural More restaurants, hotels, things to do, marina, fishing, sailing, etc. All integrated to attract 50 visitors and new residents in summer and in winter. With no need to drive your car to get around. Would like to see the water exchange bridge put in and Lake Padre improvements and 51 business added around with less commercial business. Add a new playground for kids, bike trails and walking trails all added to Aquarius Park. I would like to see an island that stands to be a model where environment and recreation 52 have met an agreement. Also for the infrastructure of future climate driven anomalies to be prepared for sea level rise. My vision for the island is to beautify (planning and landscape) the main highway and business fronts, not over build touristy crap, look for and encourage (ease permit obstacles, tax 53 incentives, assist w utility improvements) local/private owned businesses to populate island needs. Avoid chain restaurants and gift shops. 54 Preserve natural beauty, avoid overdevelopment No POA drama and/or better use of all the money received from our annual dues. Also I would 55 like to see safer streets and paths for pedestrians as well as golf carts/utv’s. To continue to be the community of people who know each other, support each other, and 56 reach out to each other 57 A family Friendly vacation spot and lovely place to live and raise a family. 58 Keep it natural and open access. This is a barrier island and should provide recreational opportunities and limited construction. 59 What will happen to all the stuff on the island during a big hurricane? It will be distributed somewhere. To become a travel destination while at the same time raising the values and safety of the 60 Island I like the island staying small and a lot of natural areas. I do not want to see it a big commercial 61 area. I do not want it to turn into South Padre. It is the open beaches that bring people here. 62 Sandy beaches and fishing on Padre island, beaches, bars and parties in Port Aransas. One of the most accessible native pristine beaches around. Development should be limited, 63 as it is a barrier island. 64 To be an area of conservation and responsible recreation. To leave it alone and let everyone enjoy what is already here. Do not let people/companies 65 with big cash corrupt it by trying to shut down the beaches to public access in order to build resorts etc. for profit

61 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback 66 Develop lake padre area with river walk and marina with water exchange bridge. Soft recreation and meeting area for people. With soft I mean in an environmental friendly way, that safes nature. At the same time it can be recreational for people coming out of Corpus 67 Cristi, like a "green belt“. There will also be some more job opportunities, but that’s not the main focus. 68 To be a community that works together to make the island great. 69 A great place to live 70 A beach community where the citizens come together and make positive change 71 Great place to live and enjoy A non-transient destination. More focus on resident services. We are paying top dollar to live 72 here and would love to see that reflected in city planning. Port A like. Better entertainment, restaurants and shopping without taking away from the Island Coastal 73 community The island wants to have its' own "island community" but it is very hard to stay on the island 74 and have restaurants, stores, groceries and recreational activities. 75 A very mixed demographic community Better kept streets and better kept houses/yards. With our tax rate, more of our tax dollars 76 should be spend on keeping up our streets!!! It should have more of a resort feel. 77 To be a self sustaining community. A true resort area. 78 Less traffic, more things for residents. An island with lots of things to do, places to eat and shop. Fix Waves resort and reopen. Have 79 sidewalks so kids can walk/ride safely. For the city to build up all infrastructure to support more commercial projects and tourism. It’s 80 the best area in the coastal bend let’s start investing in it and it will pay off. A safe, family friendly place with open beaches and parks where kids can play. More places to 81 ride bikes 82 A more integrated, easily traveled community where people do more than just have a house. To be a more family orientated area better than South Padre Island. With a mix of more 83 business and housing, our island can be the mecca of resort and business in the corpus christi area. To be considered an important community asset to the City of CC, not just funneling our tax 84 dollars to the city projects. 85 A friendly place to live, with amenities on the island so we don’t go OTB Clean water, streets that should be part of you operating budget in good condition and not 86 double tax due to accepted incompetency. 87 A safe community with more entertainment and eating opportunities. 88 Safe clean healthy environment

62 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback I envision the island a place for family fun without a lot of big business. I grew up in a quaint 89 beach town about 30 minutes from Destin fl. I don’t want the hustle and congestion of Destin. I want north padre to stay family vacation oriented and not party single centered. 90 To have a safe, unspoiled nature retreat with some good restaurants and low crime. 91 Golf cart connection everywhere. Keep our beaches natural and uncrowded. Keep for the area to remain filled with wildlife and natural flora, with nature trails available for 92 photographers, and visitors. 93 A place for people to relax and worry free 94 More shopping and entertainment plus a safer environment with more police presence 95 Peace quiet low to no crime A coastal community that promotes a healthy lifestyle for all including pedestrian crossings 96 and biking across the park road. 97 New bridge on park road 22 To have a safe and friendly atmosphere not full of buildings that stay empty or a bunch of housing that is not taken care of or ones that bring in a bad crowd of people. What makes 98 this island so special is that it’s small and quiet let’s keep it that way for us and for the coastal environment 99 Keep beaches open and clean Beautiful and clean beaches. Little to no crime, which includes reducing trespassers and 100 drug addicts from roaming the streets and parks. Tourist attractions to stay away from the residential areas (across park road 22) 101 A quiet residential area. I would like to see updates in the entertainment areas of the island. I would also like to see a 102 stricter rule on dogs off leashes in neighborhoods That it is treated like THE destination in Corpus Christi and maintained accordingly. Fully 103 developed housing and resort properties. My vision is to be a community that is well connected, helps each other, provides a safe (low 104 crime) and offers senior citizens a great place to retire - keep it affordable. 105 Safe and fun place See the marina get done and the water way opened up across park rd 22. Keep hotels off the 106 beach line. Don't want it to be so commercial that we can't enjoy the nature and beauty of our island 107 Safe and friendly neighborhood Cheaper water and utilities it’s one of the highest in the entire central region it shouldn’t be 108 price gouging The Island should remain environmentally friendly. More people and businesses really 109 shouldn't be here unless it's productive for the Natural habitat. 110 To remain a nice quiet area full of natural resources.

63 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback A safe place for families and residents to live and play. Safe outdoor recreation activity. Improved pedestrian/cycling paths and better lighting in the evenings for their safety. Better 111 maintenance of roads and cleaning of roads for debris. A more inviting place for business and tourists, with more activities to draw both to the island. I would like to see development on the beach preserving what we have but adding business 112 that attract people to the island using the love for the coast but giving people something else to come hear and enjoy. Waterfront restaurants, bars and shopping unique to the coast. Family oriented vacation area with more retail variety and less bars. Think we have enough of 113 those. Our vision for the Island includes a lower crime rate, superior roadways, and a city that through 114 measurable actions regains the confidence of its citizens. A small coastal residential community with locally owned businesses where everyone knows 115 your name. I do not want to see the place turned into Port A or Destin or Myrtle Beach. It should be and remain a coastal residential community for the locals. PERIOD. 116 Developments similar to SPI 117 Greater development. Community center. Library. Restaurants. Marina. Community pool. Completion of PR22 Bridge and Canal project completed and development of restaurants, 118 bars, hotels etc. Bringing in new revenue for North Padre Island and improving property values. 119 Keep as much natural as possible 120 To attract tourists from all over. 121 to have a clean well maintained island to attract people Limited and Localized commercial areas, and With adjacent large scenic parks/beaches 122 with paved walkways and bikeways. I’d like it to have a predominant natural feel, with focal attraction points for small businesses only. I prefer to keep the commercial feel off the island. A place where recreational - biking, walking, swimming - can coexist with commercial/retail 123 opportunities. Nightlife/Concert entertainment balanced with Natural Recreation. Maybe some concerts on 124 the Beach..Florida/San Diego type beach parties 125 Keep our beaches. Please don’t turn the island into a resort covering it in concrete. While it would be nice to have 126 a few more local amenities, I’d love to see it continue to develop as a location to enjoy birding, fishing and the beach. 127 Better testing for coronavirus national to seashore. our island should be preserved and opened for public use And to Be able 128 to safely enjoy its Natural beauty and preserve the The animals who live there. To have more park and walk areas with ramps and sea walls verses hundreds of cars driving in 129 for parties 130 Safety and fun 131 That beaches become cleaner, with more trash pickup

64 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback There should be more "vacation like" amenities. I know this falls on the private developers 132 but it seems enticement from the City would help spark development and generate more tax basis. Large scale marina type developments are what the island should have. 133 Healthy marine life, clean safe beaches A place where families can experience unadulterated nature in a clean and cared for 134 environment. A nice place for families and vacationers to visit and for the area to be socially responsible and 135 fiscally conservative 136 Quite coastal community Needs way more restaurants of more variety, shops, recreational areas...the old river walk idea 137 was great...needs a resort like the one in Galveston...perhaps next to island House?? Develop river walk canal with walking running bike trails. Start & complete park rd.22 bridge. 138 Replace JFK Bridge. 139 More recreational than residential 140 Would love to live there if it was more affordable. A balance between a sustainable environment, inviting tourism spot and community 141 engagement. Not a commercial destination. Where you come and leave your trash! Much less trash with the 142 quarantine. I wonder why I wish there were biking and rollerblading lanes so that people could exercise. It would help 143 the cities occupants not be obese compared to other cities. 144 More of a community - more services, more bike/walking, and better City response! Unspoiled beach environment with low housing density and sufficient amenities to serve 145 tourists. A place where people can come enjoy nature and the raw undeveloped, beauty of the 146 Coast. 147 I would love to see cleaner beaches and more things to do on the island. 148 An environmentally beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. 149 Open environmentally safe, place for family & friends 150 Keep it low key - do not over develop. We need to make the island accessible by public transportation, and make sure that there are 151 things to do for all your income levels. 152 To keep the beaches open to traffic with little private or commercial ownership. It should be a safe place for those who want to live there. It should be kept clean for locals and 153 visitors to enjoy the beauty. Wildlife should be left alone. 154 Preservation of current greenspace and water. Ecotourism should be the main focus in design. 155 Better roads and utilities. More dining opportunities. Less homeless and drug crime. Keep the undeveloped park areas undeveloped and clean, while promoting island businesses 156 and restaurants along developed areas

65 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback I envision a developed mixed use area with controlled, sensible growth, access and 157 opportunities. 158 A great addition to CC *more paved streets. *organized/designated public areas. 159 *bike/walk trails. *LIGHTING. *art 160 The Texas Riviera. 161 Keeping it wild 162 Growth and opportunity. 163 A great place to bring my family Removal of sewage smell at Park road 22 @ Whitecap! More shopping and grocery stores. 164 More police patrols. 165 A high quality, walkable, coastal beach community. 166 Become a destination...... would love to see this for our Island. To be a GREAT place to live, raise a family and have friends and Family come to visit. To be the 167 Tourist detestation of CC 168 Tourist Destination 169 The beach should stay a beach and not become a neighborhood or shopping center. I would like to see the lake padre area develop into a mixed use development with many 170 restaurants and bars and a marina. 171 Excel as a residential recreation area 172 Recreation My vision to remain a community beach and not commercial. No building to block the sun and 173 access to beach. 174 Beautiful and safe beaches and views 175 Make it more like Port A. Better restaurants, more shopping, increased property values 176 Street maintenance 177 Paradise 178 Open clean beaches 179 Keep it wild and beautiful. Keep it capable of serving as a BARRIER island! Upscale residential west of PR22. Upscale and energetic residential, commercial and gathering 180 places east of PR22 181 Well planned growth w/o blinders. Future growth and development in accordance with established master plan. City of CC 182 should serve as resource and catalyst for future development. 183 More things to do, such as shops, places to run, family activities

66 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback Peaceful recreational home/vacation retreat with police presence for crime-free, safe area with 184 retail/restaurant businesses with boardwalk and water access. Economic and ecological resilience that safeguards the natural splendor of the island for 185 generations to come, while offering a balanced but limited area for human settlement. 186 To see our community as a great place to live and a great place to visit. 187 Top destination for vacation and recreation. 188 Safe and enjoyable and less beholding to the few wealthy investors 189 Small town feel with amenities It was a home and place for retirement. However with the ever increasing of local taxes we 190 may have to sale and leave after 15 years 191 A destination for vacationers and locals alike with quality amenities. 192 More selection in activities, Art scene, Dog park, LESS THEFT. 193 A better sense of community, like city of port a High quality and top tier community development that will enhance the experience and perception of Padre island beaches to tourists. There is a lot of potential, however, not much 194 progression. Recommend seeking expertise from community developers from Austin and San Antonio who have a lot of experience in this field- and their work has proven successful for community growth. Keep it more local no chain restaurants including fast food ie Starbucks Mcdonalds etc. Need to ban plastic bags and keep the island cleaner. Need more police presence. Something needs 195 to be done at Waves Resort wheres the golf course they were supposed to have most of the people I speak to or know do not go. To remain small with family owned businesses only like the ones that have supported the 196 island for years. Not commercialized with corporate business. 197 A natural place to enjoy 198 A retirement community. A more family friendly environment with less homeless and crime. We should make the island 199 a tourist destination with plenty of amenities to attract people to come visit. 200 Want a live music venue on seawall/sandbar back open!! My vision would be to eventually have more parks and recs areas to take walks or do recreational activities like riding bikes, walking dogs, playing sports ... etc. I also would like to 201 see the island be more bike and walk friendly. There are not enough sidewalks to safely take long walks or jogs on. I would like to see more recreational and business growth that will improve property values 202 and improve visitors impression of our Island. Our Island should be a popular place that everyone wants to visit and come back too. 203 Vacation destination for people all over Texas. Lots of dining, entertainment. 204 Development 205 become a world class destination but without losing the local vibe and live music

67 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback 206 Becoming a nationwide tourist destination NO GOLF CARTS. We do not need to turn into Port A. An island that is mindful of the environment and cares about conservation efforts. Beach clean ups by community should be a hi-annual event. Weekends for locals only. More local places. I’m very upset by the Starbucks 207 being built, we have Island Joes, why build a chain/over-priced coffee place? We are not Port A and we do not want to become that overcrowded, over-tourist, dirty, Spring Breaking and obnoxious beach town. Local, family-friendly, safe haven. A place to get away. Paradise. 208 A community more like port a 209 A tourist mecca for the US that is a good place to live! 210 A nice place to live and work. 211 Safe place to live, help with Herricane amage [Hurricane Damage] 212 To stay a small vacation community 213 A cleaner, beater place with more involved residents who care about their property. a family place to enjoy the ocean and have a few necessities so we don't have to go into flour 214 bluff for everything but not have too much buildup. To grow into an island with restaurants & music located on the water. To continue to be a great 215 place to live & enjoy the outdoors 216 Good restaurants, resort atmosphere, geared to both tourists and residents. 217 Walkable, bikeable, safe community. A great place to live and raise my kids while still being an attraction for recreation and 218 entertainment. 219 To retain its natural setting and heritage For it to remain the hidden gem that it is - as a permanent resident I do not want it to turn into 220 a tourist trap. More developed with hopefully shops and restaurants along the Canal and lake padre where 221 park road 22 bridge is to be built. 222 A nice developed community with plenty of options for children. My vision is the same I had growing up. To be a safe place where everyone knows everyone 223 and it’s safer then the city, It should look like a place people want to visit, live, retire. It looks low rent and disorganized 224 when you cross the bridge. No planning. Sugar Land has better planning. Its not the 70s anymore. Cities that prosper have good planning and are visually attractive. 225 A great place to live Protect investment by taking sea level a climate change seriously as not to be wiped out in 20 226 to 40 years. 227 More variety of shops and restaurants. Reduced police presence. Not to much change. Honestly the more family atmosphere and less extreme tourism 228 especially with young singles. I bought here for the easy island life not a south padre life

68 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback I would love to see more ways to get around on a golf cart. Also the crime rate seems to be 229 going up and really needs to be handled. There are people that want to move to the island but are second guessing bc of the crimes lately. 230 decent roads, police protection & keeping tourists away Clean- litter free - lots of bike/ walking paths - shopping areas with nice shops and nice places 231 to eat 232 Public recreation 233 Smartly planned zoning and development 234 Colorful, clean and peaceful I would like to see Waves resort under new management and run successfully. Giving homeowners reduced rates would generate support and pride in this great amenity. But closing it will create a Chernobyl look on our island and drive tourism away for good. I want 235 to see more big name restaurants and clubs out here. I would like to see what was done to Kemah Texas done to Padre island. Marinas restaurants and shopping. Amusement park and hotels. 236 Focus on nature and families. Keep it clean and friendly. Do NOT turn it into South Padre. 237 keep it wild and natural! that is what makes the island so unique. 238 Clean safe and with a more of a tourist beach vibe Lots of great park areas and more restaurants/shopping centers for friends and family to 239 gather. My vision for the Island is a to remain a great place to live and visit with more businesses and 240 recreation opportunities available. To keep it simple and safe. I’m worried that the island is going to be overbuilt. I don’t want this 241 place to look like South Padre 242 Keep the island a pearl in the shell of Corpus Christi. 243 More of a coastal community 244 Family friendly, with retiree options. 245 A place I can afford to remain in our retirement years Is to hold on to the natural beauty and stop all of the development. More houses are being 246 built than actually sold. Make this place a little more affordable to live in but limit the amount of construction. We are so packed together that ruins the experience of nature. Is a safe spot to raise a family. I would like to see a place were teenagers can go for 247 entertainment like a skateboard park, and a dog park That the beaches stay the way they are. Don't commercialize them at all. Go into town if you 248 want that. To increase paths for walking and biking, to increase restaurant options - especially water front 249 and high end restaurants. To see the beaches maintained better and groomed. Decrease crime and FINISH THE CANAL EXTENSION PROJECT. More restaurants with water access, more restaurants with beach view, more walking/biking 250 paths to local venues (restaurants, shops, etc)

69 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback 251 A major natural wildlife & recreational area with minimal human development! To remain a recreation area without Miami beach, Port Aransas or South Padre Island 252 congestion. Improve the economy through tourism, fix the water park, the Holiday Inn, and create better 253 bar and restaurant options near the beach. Prevent City of Corpus from pillaging our growth opportunities. Be more like Port A! 254 Keep it natural, clean and help with climate issue that affect it like beach erosion 255 Marina, restaurants& bars on the water, new hotel on water. 256 To look like a lush island that is peaceful and relaxing 257 to develop my property by the beach for mixed use commercial tourism. 258 To keep it family friendly. I would just like more beachfront condo choices. 259 Stop developing. Add sidewalks 260 To continue to keep the wildlife free and don’t interrupt their way of life. 261 RESIDENTIAL with dining and grocery choices Improve current facilities but limit further development of open spaces and provide alternate 262 access to island from Flour Bluff. For the water bridge project to be completed as promised by CC & For the Jetties to be 263 repaired before they fail. 264 Environmentally clean, crime free, safe place to live and raise a family. 265 A peaceful vacation place. 266 Quality of lifestyle. Safe homes and streets with shopping and recreational close by Keeping the island clean, peaceful, and prosperous. Encourage small businesses to provide 267 much needed goods and services. 268 Outdoor lovers dream 269 safe home and ease of travel 270 Small population beautiful beaches safe area balance between keeping neighborhoods on the island and locals and tourist enjoying the 271 island 272 A well rounded destination for residents and tourists both. 273 need to bring more small business opportunities to the island for the island to be a vibrant, community with dining options available. Improved utilities specific to water quality in our homes. I am not interested in seeing big entertainment 274 attractions or a flood of tourists all year long. I want to keep our beached beautiful and clean so we can all enjoy them together. 275 A place for families to enjoy nature and a safe beach 276 A community not a tourist destination Beautiful, modest community with a great opportunity for small businesses to open and 277 become part of the community for modern living and tourism combined.

70 Padre/Mustang Island

Vision # Feedback 278 50/50 split between primary residences and destination recreation. 279 to keep it natural, not commercialize it. Love the small town feel. 280 A safe place to recreate and enjoy nature. 281 I live here I'm not generally an environmentalist... but I think there is an opportunity to further develop the native environment on our barrier island and use it to develop our tourist industry. I think 282 we need to increase density in areas where we have already developed and designate areas we have not developed into environmental tourist destinations. Increased density means less utility infrastructure and an increased tax base per unit of developed area. Clean up some of the trashy areas, police the troublemakers more effectively, make 283 commercial developers more responsible for issues they create. A family friendly island with houses elevated to reduce damage costs during hurricanes. And a 284 place to live, eat, work, and play. More development. 285 To retain the natural habitat for the good of our environmental 286 To see more of variety of business performing water activities and to beautify the island I surf a fair amount and enjoy the beaches with my daughters. We live in town. I am very 287 pleased overall with our beaches and would love to see the island grow recreational. 288 Keep the present life style slow growth A destination community for safe living with an abundance of outdoor recreation and enough 289 diversity in shopping and food so that you could stay on the island most of the time. Better streets, safe biking paths, cleaner beaches, well-maintained bulkheads, lower property 290 taxes and POA dues
