Jr. If you have any questions or suggestions for your , run it by Mr. Alzaher FIRST before you buy anything. Please know that Mr. Cupit’s school has very generously offered to let us borrow some costumes from their costume closet. If you’d like to borrow costumes from them, you will need to sign a release saying exactly what you’re borrowing and that you are responsible for returning it in the same condition you received it. You will need to let me know of the sizes and needs ahead of time and I cannot guarantee they will have every costume piece you need.

Also, hopefully you do not need to spend a lot of money on your costume. In fact, sometimes the costumes that are made or found in second-hand stores look best! If you do want a professional looking costume, they can be rented from costume stores. This is suggested for the lead roles. Be careful with onesies, they can start to look more like a pajama on rather than a musical. Also, no on stage unless your calls for it. , flats, character shoes, , can all be better options. Please think about any accessories you might need with your costume (gloves, a , a sword, etc)

Elsa - Elsa has 2 . Her coronation dress and her post-coronation dress. Leina, I’m pretty sure you already have these but if you need help (probably with the actual transformation) come see me.

Anna - has 2 dresses as well. Coronation and post coronation. Aria, I think we already have the first one, but if you need help finding the second one, come see me.

Young/Middle Anna/Elsa - For these costumes, you can all decide if you want to “match” the adult version of your character, wear something similar (maybe the same color scheme), or if you want to just wear a dress that is a neutral color (like white). Here’s some pics for reference.

Olaf - Lea, you and I will have to figure out if we’re doing the puppet (rental), a , or something different. Here are some ideas:

Sven - Riley, we have a costume for you to check out. If you don’t like it, here are some other options.

Hans - Leah, we have most of your costume taken care of. Just figure out if there are any accessories that you need to get (like the boots, a ?, a sword?, etc)

Kristoff - David, I’m not sure how much of this costume we found. It’s not too hard to put together though. You can make it pretty easily or buy it. Here’s some pictures to help.

King Agnarr and Queen Iduna - Mohnish, we do have a and some stuff I’m sure you can wear. But nothing exactly like these. Ashley, there are 2 dresses that might work, but if you don’t like them, or if you want to get your own thing (either or you), here are some pictures to guide you.

Duke of Weselton - Emily, we have a few that you can try on. If nothing works/fits, here’s what Weselton typically wears:

Steward - Austin, if you want to this role here are some ideas. I’m not sure you can do this role AND the one in For the First Time. You may have to teach that one to someone else.

Bishop - Sarim, check with David Vaz and see if he still has his costume from Shrek. It’s essentially the same thing. Here are some pictures to help:

Housekeeper - Julia, I think we found some maid dresses in the costume room there. You can look through everything and let me know if there’s anything you like. If not, something like this.

Handmaiden - Sree, I may have some dresses to choose from. Anything generic kind of works but here are some ideas:

Butler - No one has filled this role yet, but if anyone wants to be the butler (instead of a townsperson) let me know.

Cook - I think it’s best to keep this costume simple. I might have a black/white dress! Here are some options:

Snow Chorus - Mrs. Bjorlo had some ideas for this costume. I’ll attach some of the images she sent me. She will be reaching out to parents of this group to make sure everyone is ok with the look and cost of it and then you can proceed to . A white/blue dress like these ones and a blue/white sash or something would look great. Keep in mind, dancers will have to be able to do leaps and quick changes out of these costumes.

Summer Chorus - Summer chorus is going to be in old-timey striped and and like they’re going to the beach. Red, blue, yellow, please coordinate so they’re not all the same color. If you have trouble finding cheap shirts, shorts, and hats like these, let me know.

Townspeople and Castle Staff - Townspeople are going to all be in generic period appropriate clothes. The time period for Frozen is 1840s Norway. It’d be cool to do a little bit of research and find something that is period correct. Please know, it’s much easier to dress as a boy, so girls are welcome (encouraged even) to dress as boys instead of girls for their roles as townspeople. Here are some pictures to help:

Pabbie, Bulda, and Hidden Folk - Hiddle Folk and Pabbie and Bulda are going to be in shades of brown and dark green with leaf-like material draped around. I want it to look like they grew out of the ground. I have some shirts here for reference, but these should be pretty easy to make. Maybe parents can help

Oaken and Oaken Family - Oaken Family has a few different options, but they must coordinate. First, I think it would be cool to have them in Lederhosen. This is technically German, not Norwegian, but it’s close enough and I think it would look good. If not, since they’re all heading to the sauna, they can also be in long johns or . Try to coordinate the lederhosen (different colors) first. If you can’t, let me know.
