Technical Sheet Tannat The greatest wines in the world are found where a grape varietal finds the ideal conditions to express itself in a natural and authentic way. At Bodega Garzón, we are guided by a philoso- phy to fully express our unique terroir with wines that are pure with distinct character and vitality, which lead to delicious drinkability. TANNAT R E S E R V E 2 0 1 8 A juicy, full-bodied wine. Rich purple in colour with very fresh aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits such as plums and raspberries, with a delicate spicy nose. In the mouth, it presents a strong personality. Its mature tannins and minerality transform it into a wine with great soil identity. Pairings: Roasted game meats are the ideal pairing for this Tannat. The most traditional combination is slowly cooked leg of lamb flavoured with sage, mint, garlic and olive oil. It also pairs beautifully with blue cheese and toasted walnuts. • Fly & Drive Punta Del Este & Montevideo 05 Nights
Fly & Drive Punta del Este & Montevideo 05 Nights Day 1 – Montevideo to Punta del Este Upon your arrival in Montevideo (airport or port), pick up your previously chosen rented car and drive to Punta del Este. Your accommodation is for 3 nights at a Punta del Este hotel. Breakfast is included. After check-in, take the rest of the day at your leisure to rest, walk or drive around. Day 2 – Punta del Este Enjoy the day at your leisure. PUNTA DEL ESTE is a city and resort on the Atlantic Coast in the Maldonado Department in southeastern Uruguay, about 140 kilometers (87 mi) from Montevideo. Although the city has a year-round population of a little over 9000, the summer tourist boom adds a very large number of non-residents. The Spanish were the first Europeans to set foot at the beginning of the 16th century, in what is now Punta del Este. However, the colonization of the area actually began at the end of the 18th century due to Portuguese expansionism. Punta del Este and its surroundings (Maldonado and Punta Ballena) were a vast area of just sand and dunes, but in 1896 Antonio Lussich bought 4,447 acres (1,800 hectares) of uninhabited land started a botanical garden, known as the Arboretum Lussich, where he planted trees and plants from all over the world. Later the trees started to spread on their own, and now the area is full of mostly Pines, Eucalyptus, Acacias and various species of bushes. On July 5, 1907, Punta del Este was declared a "Pueblo" (village).

Cruiser’s Port Guide To Piriapolis, Uruguay Compliments of Seven Seas Cruising Association (SSCA) Updated March 2008 Welcome to Puerto Piriapolis, Uruguay! If any word describes the country of Uruguay and its people, the word is “tranquilo”. Founded as a resort town for wealthy Argentinos by entrepreneur Francisco Piria in the 1930’s, Piriapolis is a no- hassle, low-key spot to leave your boat for an extended period or do boat work, but make sure you bring your supplies with you. Approach & marina: Hail Piriapolis Port Control on Channel 16. It’s hit or miss whether they will answer. The entry is straightforward, but watch for shallow areas between the beach and breakwater. Waypoint for the breakwater is 34S52.5/055W17.0. Tie-up is fore and aft with two mooring buoys aft and wharf tie-up on bollards forward. There is no help from any marina staff or the Prefectura so be prepared to tie up yourself although many times other cruisers are available to lend a hand. If you come in at night, there is a fuel dock just south of the TraveLift at which you can tie up till morning. Formalities: A Prefectura representative will usually be waiting on the dock for you to accept your “zarpe” paperwork. If arriving from another country, you must visit Customs (located in the building behind the marina complex), the marina office on the premises, the Prefectura’s office (1/2 mile from the marina) and Immigration, which is a cab or bus ride away at the Punta del Este airport.

SALES MANUAL 2019 – SAT URUGUAY PAGE 1 3. PUNTA DEL ESTE Punta del Este, located 130 km (81 mi) away from Montevideo or only an hour and half by car, is called the St. Tropez of Uruguay for its miles of beautiful, pristine beaches, its upscale and exclusive resort tradition, glittery nightlife and also an upscale summer population. Here one can also enjoy different sport practices such as golf, horseback riding, and specially water sports. Its best-known main avenue is called „la Gorlero” and it turns into a glamorous catwalk where thousands of visitors parade without missing any detail, both during the day and at night. At Artigas Square, another emblematic site for afternoon gatherings, numerous stands display beautiful handicrafts made with rock, glass, wood and other materials. In the surroundings of Southern Punta del Este locations such as Portezuelo, Solanas and Punta Ballena (Whale Point) can be visited. There it is also the location of “Casapueblo”, a majestic masterpiece made by Uruguayan sculpture Carlos Páez Vilaró. Apart from housing a hotel, this venue is a museum and atelier where paintings, ceramics and sculptures are presented in numerous shows. Another site to visit, this time towards the North, is Isla de Lobos (Sea-lions Island), located off the shores of Playa Brava. In addition to a big lighthouse, the largest colony of sea lions in South America may be observed right on this spot. Punta del Este has everything. No wonder it is known as “the Pearl of Uruguay”. • Punta Del Este Y La Ceremonia Al Sol En Casapueblo
