Research: Discovery of a portrait of a woman cared in stone from Maya ruins, by archaeologist Dr. Kathryn Reese-Taylor is believed to be the earliest known portrait found, suggesting that women played significant roles in early Maya politics. U of C faculty and grad students in the Faculty of Humanities investigate an anonymous, undated and untitled manuscript of a play found in Special Collections and make significant leads to identify the origins.
