Kern teaming up to win another national championship -Quick Links Sunday Ride: Employee & Race Team Season Opener Sunday Rides are put on hold during the winter while the road conditions are not conducive to safe riding and pleasurable temperatures. Though most of us have all the great gear and skills we have learned from the training programs we offer, we still don’t want to put our fellow pilots at risk during the “off-season”. But with the temperatures reaching the 70’s today we went ahead and put together a employee and race team ride this morning, spur of the moment, just so we could blast past your house and wake you up to the sound of motorcycle noise rippin’ down the street. Nothing more motivating then waking up in the paddock rooms above VIR and hearing the expert liter bikes racing down the straight at 160+ miles per hour. This was the next best thing we could think of doing for our community this morning. Keep in close contact with us as the season is upon us to start taking our weekly Sunday Rides with Nate and Frontline Eurosports. In lue of that we need to start to prep our gear, our motorcycles, and our minds in order to be safe and profecient riders on the road. Don’t get that last minute jazz and rush out the door to ride with your already prepped friends, that could end in disaster for you. Sunday Rides Kicking Off in April!!! Cruise through my Facebook and YouTube Channel for In Store Videos, Motorcycle Summaries, Sunday Ride pics/movies and Race Day pics/movies: https://www.facebook.com/nathan.jennings.391 ****Don’t forget that we are doing dual sport and adventure touring riding events the first Sunday of every month. Let’s get those GS and Tiger machines dirty!!!!!!!**** Who: Anyone What: Sunday Ride with Frontline Eurosports Team Where: Frontline Eurosports 1003 Electric Road, Salem VA 24153 When: Assembling at 10:40AM and departing promptly at 11:00AM Why: Fun, Great Food Destinations, Socialization, weekend get-a-way, TO RIDE THAT BIKE!!! Nate's Bike Review: Triumph Rocket III Roadster I took the Triumph Rocket III Roadster out for the Employee & Racer Sunday Ride after a huge gap without saddle on the BEAST!!!! I have to say that Triumph never has a problem putting a smile on my face with any of their three cylinder machines, even if it’s a 2300cc motor in a standard cruiser that weighs 805 lbs wet. There is never a wrong gear and the historic attributes, such as athleticism and power, that you would expect from Triumph are still there, they are just waiting for someone to tap into it and surprise themselves with how agile, fast, comfortable, and fun this Big “Ol Bad Boy can be. The comfort level of the bike on long rides or quick toots around town was phenomenal due to the more standard seating position, not normally found on cruiser/touring machines in this type of cruiser trim. While riding with mainly sport oriented machines like the R1200GS, R1200R, K1200S, and Husqvarna SMR 511 I didn’t fall behind in any part of the ride, not even the twisties could create any gap in our pack. I think I’ve always taken the speed of the machine for granted as I would always ride this machine solo and not with any other motorcycles present, in this situation with a passenger and a pack of riders with me I could really feel the speed, not necessarily feel the speed in the sense of being wowed by how fast I felt, but by how fast I was leaving motorcycles in my rear mirror with the slightest flick of the wrist. I was using distance as a gauge as the Rocket III Roadster also hides its speed with comfort. I can’t tell you how many smiles and laughs it created on this amazing Sunday Ride, but I can tell you that when you have an 800 lbs beast finding the speeds, XXX is all I can release (come talk to me in person to find out more details), in such short distances in order to catch up with bikes who eluded you in a traffic situation, that’s impressive. You want a Triumph perm-a-grin, this is another 3-cylinder miracle from the Brits!! Frontline Race Team: Seeking Sponsorship The Frontline Race Team has picked up some great sponsors in our efforts over the last couple of months. We are proud to have you as part of our team and assist us in taking this to the next level and to support the local racing community. We have created a new site that will hopefully offset some of the costs of transportation, fuel, food, tires, and lodging. There is a lot involved in racing and we appreciate all the assistance we can get in order to keep this team rolling and fuel your entertainment needs when you come to watch us at your local track, we aim to please! ! Our link to the gofundme site that will allow you and your friends to make a donation, no matter how much to assist us in our efforts of putting Roanoke on the map for racers: www.gofundme.com/77zq10 I wanted to do a little throwback Thursday on here with a video my little brother did last year with Sloan West, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN6iAZzGtMg Track Days: Kern Private Track Days We did it again……Had to take off and spend some time with our friend N8! Kern at Roebling Road this February. Actually, I had to go this time to deliver a new BMW S1000RR to a fellow Marine, Jason Hise, at the track since he has found the value in Frontline Eurosports all the way from Beaufort, S.C., home of the United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot, the best place in the world. Since he showed such commitment to us and we had the opportunity to deliver this bike over a track day weekend we both jumped at the opportunity. This Track day was blessed with super clear weather and temperatures that stayed in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s the entire day. I also took fellow racer Steve Bellamente and his Triumph Daytona 675R for some more tuning before the race March 8th-9th and set up his bike for the new additional equipment we installed. Also attending, Hank Rogers and his new BMW S1000RR who has swallowed the track day pill and won’t be finding himself back in reality for a long time. Sorry to do that to you Hank but we warned you track days are addictive, but at least “the cleanest addiction you can have”. We have big news to announce in the racing world. Frontline Eurosports is going to be helping former CCS National Champion Nate Kern get back on the podium this year. We are working with top secret individuals and materials to debut to you in the near future, but when it comes you will be amazed at what we came up with. Look forward to helping N8! make history again and on the new top secret race machine to come soon!!!!
