It’s liquid cooled, automatic belt drive, weighs in at 350lbs, has a 3.2 gallon tank and has a low 28” seat height. It has the usual scuffs from commuting but is a clean scoot. We just sold a really clean 2001 Helix 250 and love taking these in trade. You get all the hard luggage and lots of wind protection with a fuel injected 1470cc V-Twin, 5 speed trans, 5 gallon tank, bars, floorboards, highway pegs, drivers backrest, and liquid cooling. This is a ton of touring bike for the money and we have completely gone through the bike. We did the scheduled 48K service, installed new front discs and pads, a new front tire, and a Gerbing heated gear lead. It looks good for its’ age and miles and was well cared for by the previous owner who traded it in for something a little more off-road oriented. This bike is listed under NADA pricing. Contact us about this Motorcycle 2003 BMW F650CS Titan Silver Metallic • 3,847 miles stock number ZH16163 $5,495 This is an ABS CS previously sold at Bob’s BMW. These are great commuter bikes with long trip capability. Capable of 60+mpg and 100mph they are also light weight and easy to manage in a parking lot and comfortable on I-95, just a nice all round bike with the peace of mind of ABS brakes. It also features the front stuff bay box (where you would think the gas tank would be) and the rear 3 piece soft tail luggage kit. It just received a recent bi-annual service, new hazard light switch and new rear tire. A great bike to compliment a full touring bike or a really nice step up from tiny cruisers and scooters, a real bike for sure. Contact us about this Motorcycle 2010 Vespa GTS300ie Black • 4,132 miles stock number 700058 $5,495 The hot rod Vespa, capable of 80+mph and 60+mpg, it’s the perfect commuter. Fuel injected and liquid cooled with disc brakes this is a truly modern bike in a classic package. Step through, push start and twist and go – no shifting. It weighs in at 326lbs with a 31” seat height and has a 2.4 gallon tank. This one features a much louder Stebil horn, small Vespa wind screen, and Vespa paint to match top trunk. The top trunk has a few scratches and scrapes from commuter duty. This is a one owner scoot and all service is current and completed at an authorized Vespa dealer. The Dakar was the off road version of the standard F650GS and it features a taller and narrower front wheel and far more suspension travel. The Dakar moniker is a homage to BMW’s 4 Paris-Dakar motorcycle victories. These are known as being the most well rounded dual sports bikes due to their superior on road manners. Others are pretenders to the Dakar throne. It’s fully road legal, and features a tried and true fuel injected and water cooled 50hp 650cc single of Rotax origin. This one features BMWs ABS brake system as well. We just installed a fresh battery, a new set of tires, new fuel pump and did a full bi-annual service. This one does come with a set of BMW expandable side case that do have some cosmetic challenges to the aluminum covers but function as they should. These are awesome commuter bikes that can do long haul if needed. They are capable of 100mph and 6-70mpg with a 4 gallon tank and a fuel injected and water cooled. This bike just received its’ annual service and is under ful factory warranty until 7/11/12 or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Contact us about this Motorcycle 2000 BMW K1200LTS Canyon Red • 48,561 miles stock number ZD72464 $6295 A two owner bike sold and serviced at Bob’s BMW, this LTS features a low front seat, Cee Bailey screen heated grips, radio/cassette, PIAA 1100X driving lights, BMW communication system (headsets not included), passenger floor boards, Ohlins suspension, Muth turn signal mirrors and some subtle pins stripping, nothing crazy. We just did an Inspection II 48K and bi-annual service, installed a fresh front tire, (new rear trunk speakers) and a new battery – about $1900 of service that you will only find completed with a Bob’s pre-owned bike! This is a great value on BMW’s Luxury Touring bike. Act fast. Contact us about this Motorcycle 2004 BMW R1150GS Graphitan • 92,044 miles stock number ZL20876 $6,995 Yes, you read it correctly, 92,044 miles, all under one owner on a bike that was sold and serviced at Bob’s BMW. Regularly serviced and well cared for this bike was owned by a multi-bike customer and was recently traded, along with a K1200GT, on a new 2011 R1200GS Adventure. This bike features ABS brakes, heated hand grips, stock screen, hand guards, center stand, an exhaust pipe extender, adventure pegs and aftermarket brake pedal, shift levers, skid plate, and Touratech steering bump stop, and to top it all off a set of Touratech ZEGA side cases and OHLINS shocks. Cosmetically it is nicer than the miles would indicate. It has recently received a starter service, front wheel bearings, and had a fresh clutch at 61K. After completing a thorough pre-purchase inspection we just completed an early 96K and annual service, installed a new rear disc, a fresh set of Tourances, replaced the fuel lines, new clock dash display, and a fresh battery. This is a great deal on a well cared for, one-owner bike, and one of the classic BMWs – some say the last of the “real” GSs. This bike is eligible for a 3 year vehicle service contract – contact Tim at ext. 210 for a quote. It won’t last long. Image 1 • Image 2 • Image 3 • Image 4 Contact us about this Motorcycle Hey Carter, Just wanted to thank you for helping me get my new 2011 BMW R 1200 RT. It was such a pleasure working with you and so nice to have such a professional, well stocked dealership in Bob's BMW, both in terms of bike inventory and a full range of accessories and supplies. In this day and age of internet online sales, it's great to have access to a dealership with physical inventory on hand that you can see, touch, and kick the tires. The demo ride convinced me to get the R 1200 RT instead of the F 800 ST, so that is a great thing that you provide the opportunity to try out different bikes. I really don't see how other dealerships and bike brands can get away with not offering that service. Say Hi to Bob, and I will certainly see you guys again when I take the bike in for the 600 mile service and check out more accessories! I've attached some pics that Telly snapped during the delivery. Thanks again, and best regards, Paul 2002 BMW R1150RT Dark Blue Metallic • 44,039 miles stock number ZE87830 $7,295 ON HOLD! Another clean RT previously sold at Bob’s.

We utilise the figure of the motorcycle to raise the importance of analyzing alternative mobilities: to consider how they appeal to different travelling dispositions and emotions; how they have been represented; and how they have been produced, marketed and consumed. The paper first reflects upon the experiences and embodiment of the motorcycle- rider; second, evaluates representations of moto-mobility; and finally attends to the materiality of mobility via an examination of the economy of motorcycle qualities. Introduction In recent years social scientists have become increasingly interested in concepts of ‘automobility’ and in so doing have provided new ways of invigorating studies of transport and movement (Thrift 1996; Urry 2000; Sheller and Urry 2000; Beckmann 2001; Theory, Culture and Society Special Issue 2004).

But with the temperatures reaching the 70’s today we went ahead and put together a employee and race team ride this morning, spur of the moment, just so we could blast past your house and wake you up to the sound of motorcycle noise rippin’ down the street. Nothing more motivating then waking up in the paddock rooms above VIR and hearing the expert liter bikes racing down the straight at 160+ miles per hour.
