Renault Scénic Limited PRESS RELEASE 28 March 2017 ALPINE PRESENTS THE A470 AND ITS CREWS FOR THE FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP - Alpine today presented the Signatech Alpine Matmut team's programme for the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at its new showroom. - Featuring Nicolas Lapierre, Gustavo Menezes and Matt Rao, the crew of the no.36 car will be tasked with defending the world titles secured in 2016. - Since Nicolas Lapierre has been called up to drive for a manufacturer competing in the LMP1-H class, Signatech Alpine Matmut will be welcoming Romain Dumas into the fold at Spa-Francorchamps and for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. - The no.35 Alpine A470 will be driven by Nelson Panciatici, Pierre Ragues and André Negrão starting at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Three weeks after the new Alpine A110 Première Édition was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, Alpine present its motorsport programme for the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Brand's stunning new showroom in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, was chosen as the venue to unveil the Alpine A470, alongside last year's World Championship-winning A460 and the A110 Première Édition. For Alpine fans, 2016 season is still very fresh in the memory. In addition to race wins at Spa-Francorchamps, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Nürburgring and Austin, the three drivers – Nicolas Lapierre, Gustavo Menezes and Stéphane Richelmi – also showed great consistency throughout the season to win the LMP2 Drivers' and Teams' titles. After sweeping all before them last year, it would have been unthinkable for Alpine not to defend its titles. A little over two weeks before the start of the 2017 season, the French marque unveiled its formidable line-up! "This year, with the commercial launch of the new Alpine A110 and after such a magnificent season in 2016, we hope and expect that the success of the Signatech Alpine Matmut team in Endurance will be a major boost for our marketing strategy. The A110 bears all the hallmarks of the Alpine brand, for which racing is extremely important," emphasized Michael Van der Sande, Managing Director of Alpine. A REVOLUTION IN THE LMP2 CATEGORY For the 2017 season, the LMP2 category has undergone a major transformation, with the application of new technical regulations and a new generation of cars with substantially improved performance. The FIA has homologated four chassis and chosen a single engine supplier for all competitors. The Alpine A470s will therefore be powered by 600bhp V8 engines supplied by Gibson Technology. The Alpine A470 chassis reuses the monocoque design and some mechanical components from the A460. Oreca's work focused on integrating the new powertrain and on aerodynamics. Obtained following extensive work using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), the contours of the A470 reveal a level of refinement never previously attained on cars in the LMP2 category! After development testing, Nicolas Lapierre was unable to contain his enthusiasm: "With a car like the Alpine A470, the LMP2 class is really entering a new era. The feeling behind the wheel was very good straight away. The attention that has been paid to every detail is impressive and it means that the handling is excellent. I can’t wait to get back out on the track." With ten cars competing in the World Championship, the LMP2 category is certain to be very hotly contested. The fact that all the teams have very similar equipment means that performance levels are likely to be very close. It will come down to the talent of the operations team and the drivers to make a difference! TWO TOP-LEVEL CREWS To defend the titles won last year, the Signatech Alpine Matmut team will be counting not just on six, but seven world class drivers! In the no.36 Alpine A470, two of the three reigning World Champions remain in this year's driver line-up: the Frenchman Nicolas Lapierre and the American Gustavo Menezes. They will be joined by a newcomer, British driver Matt Rao. Nevertheless, Alpine has given Nicolas Lapierre permission to drive for a manufacturer competing in the LMP1-H class. For the WEC 6 Hours of Spa- Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Thonon-les-Bains driver will therefore have the chance to go for outright victory with Toyota. He will be replaced for these two races by Romain Dumas, the reigning LMP1 World Champion and two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans! Signatech Alpine Matmut is incredibly proud to be welcoming one of the very best drivers in the world of Endurance racing. Romain will bring his speed and racecraft to bear in helping the entire team to make progress. The second Signatech Alpine Matmut crew looks pretty impressive too. Nelson Panciatici will be pursuing his career with Alpine in the no.35 A470. He will be joined by a familiar face in the shape of Pierre Ragues, back with the French marque after winning the ELMS title with the team in 2013. An experienced driver in single-seater racing, especially the GP2 Series, the talented Brazilian André Negrão will complete the no.35 line-up. Both Alpine A470s will be taking part in the FIA WEC prologue – the official pre- season test – held this coming weekend in Monza (1-2 April). The no.36 will be the only car competing in the championship's opening race, the 6 Hours of Silverstone. The no.35 car will therefore make its competitive debut at Spa- Francorchamps. SIGNATECH ALPINE MATMUT NO.36 CAR DRIVERS NICOLAS LAPIERRE (FRA) Born on 2 April 1984 in Thonon-les-Bains (France) FIA driver category: Platinum Nicolas began his career in single-seater racing, winning the 2003 Macao GP with the Signature team as part of the F3 Euroseries. He switched to Endurance in 2008 and enjoyed his first victories with Team Oreca Matmut. In 2012, he finished third in the FIA WEC with Toyota. During the three seasons he spent with the Japanese manufacturer, he won six World Championship races. After coming first in the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015, he joined Signatech-Alpine for the 2016 campaign. At the end of a dream-like season, during which he secured four race wins – including the 24 Hours of Le Mans – he claimed the LMP2 Drivers' and Teams' titles. ROMAIN DUMAS (FRA) Born on 14 December 1977 in Alès (France) FIA driver category: Platinum Whilst coming close to racing in Formula 1, Romain Dumas quickly realised that Endurance would provide him with the best career opportunities. Over the last fifteen years or more, he has built up a singularly impressive competitive record. Although he won his first 24 Hours of Le Mans with Audi in 2010, his name is most closely associated with Porsche. He claimed two ALMS titles with the German marque, five victories in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and the FIA WEC world title last year, as well as adding a second outright victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans! An eclectic driver, Romain is forever taking on new challenges, from competing in the WRC or the Dakar Rally to tackling Pikes Peak. GUSTAVO MENEZES (USA) Born on 19 September 1994 in Los Angeles (USA) FIA driver category: Gold One of a new generation of talented American drivers, Gustavo Menezes has acquired a good deal of experience in some of the most competitive categories.

    MEDIA INFORMATION November 2013 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship Round 7: 6 Hours of Shanghai Victory for the N°1 AUDI R18 e-tron quattro/MICHELIN, as Tom Kristensen/Loïc Duval/Allan McNish secure the 2013 WEC Drivers’ title After the torrential rain that forced the organisers to halt the recent 6 Hours of Fuji after just 16 laps, all spent behind the safety car, Audi Sport Team Joest and Toyota Motorsport GmbH were both eager to join battle once again this weekend in China. In contrast to the conditions encountered in Japan, the 6 Hours of Shanghai was marked by clear skies and warm weather (air temperature: approximately 25°C, and track temperatures up to 30°C) which enabled the teams to produce yet another thrilling show, with the outcome only settled with less than half-an-hour remaining. The pole-winning N°7 Toyota TS030-Hybrid of Wurz/Lapierre carved out an early lead, while the N°8 sister car – with Antony Davidson in command – engaged in a fight with André Lotterer in the N°1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro. On Lap 10, the British driver succeeded in finding a way past to ease into second place. The two Japanese prototypes then proceeded to dominate the top of the leaderboard until the eventful 143rd lap (190 laps completed in total). After 4½ hours of racing, the N°8 Toyota TS030-Hybrid was suddenly eliminated when its front- right suspension failed under barking for Turn 6. This promoted the N°1 Audi to second spot, approximately half-a-minute behind the N°7 Toyota, thanks to a strong stint from Benoît Tréluyer in the German car, as well as to a couple of time-consuming „moments‟ for the Japanese team‟s Nicolas Lapierre while overtaking slower competitors.

Within the space of three weeks, sports car fans have been thrilled by the lead in the manufacturers’ championship changing twice. Following two one-two victories in succession, Audi had taken the top spot in the standings at the season’s midpoint. Although the brand had to relinquish its lead in the race in Japan, it remains in striking distance of the leader of the standings. Now the World Championship decision is coming to a head, as the sixth of eight WEC races is on the agenda at Shanghai on November 2. The brand with the four rings is separated by merely eight points from leader of the standings Toyota in the manufacturers’ classification, while the brand’s advantage over the third-placed brand, Porsche, is 66 points. A total of 132 points are yet to be awarded until the finale. The WEC round in China has special significance for Audi for several reasons. The track is regarded as very challenging, the team achieved victory there last year, and the ‘Middle Kingdom’ has evolved into the largest sales market for AUDI AG. In China, the company delivered 415,704 automobiles between January and September – 16 percent more than a year ago.

After five of the season’s eight rounds, the works team with its two ca. 510 hp Porsche 911 RSR ranks first in the manufactur- ers’, drivers’ and team categories. Three customer squads field four other identical vehicle models in the GTE-Am category. With the WEC held as a joint event alongside the North American IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship from March 13-16, a total of eight Porsche 911 RSR vehicles will be competing on the legendary Sebring circuit. The race Sebring has hosted the Sports Car World Endurance Championship WEC only once since the launch of the series. In 2012, works drivers Marc Lieb (Germany), Richard Lietz (Austria) and Patrick Pilet (France) finished in second place. In the long history of endurance racing at Sebring, Porsche is by far the most successful manufacturer, with a total of 18 overall victories going to the marque from Weissach. The most recent victory was in 2008 thanks to Timo Bernhard (Germany), Romain Dumas (France) and Emmanuel Collard (France) at the wheel of a Porsche RS Spyder. Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso in the #8 TS050 HYBRID started from pole position and took the chequered flag after 388 tense and often dramatic laps at the Circuit de La Sarthe to extend their lead in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López, who led for long periods in the #7 TS050 HYBRID, made it a perfect result for TOYOTA with second place in front of 256,900 fans. TOYOTA, which had entered 47 cars at Le Mans prior to this weekend’s race and finished on the podium six times, becomes only the second Japanese manufacturer to win at La Sarthe, while Kazuki is the first Japanese driver to win in a Japanese car. The result is a culmination of intense and determined efforts by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing colleagues from Higashi-Fuji and Cologne to continually enhance its hybrid-electric technology, which won this weekend’s race using 35% less fuel than in 2012, when it returned to endurance racing. The two TS050 HYBRIDs were evenly matched throughout the 5,286km and swapped places several times during a race which featured its share of drama for the leaders. Two stop-go penalties for the #8 car, compared to one for the sister car, required an impressive night time stint from Fernando to come back into contention on a day when all drivers performed exceptionally in a high- pressure environment.

On November 6 the FIA World Endurance Championship is having its eighth and, at the same time, penultimate round of the 2016 season. One year ago in Shang- hai Porsche celebrated an early win in the manufacturers’ world championship. Noth- ing less than the defence of this title is the target for this year’s six-hour race at the Chinese Formula One circuit. So far this season the Porsche Team has achieved five race wins with its two 919 Hybrids and leads the manufacturers’ world championship with 263 points ahead of Audi (204) and Toyota (174). With the current advantage being 59 points, the team could start partying if the gap was at least 44 points after six hours of racing. We very much regret the loss of Audi as a great competitor from the 2017 WEC season on. Porsche will compete in the entire 2017 WEC season as planned. So far Porsche has derived a huge benefit in terms of knowledge and innovations for production cars from the LMP1 programme – this applies in particular to the 24-hour race at Le Mans. To be too relaxed in this year`s fight for the championship would be wrong, warned Fritz Enzinger.
