Als gemeente staan we niet alleen bekend om onze sappige druiven, maar ook om onze pittige wielerkoersen. Onze Druivenkoers, onze Druivencross, de moeder der crossen, en de ondertussen gevestigde waarde De Brabantse Pijl zijn telkens weer een feest voor zowel wielrenners als supporters.

Na een moeilijk voorjaar zijn we verheugd om de klassieker de Brabantse Pijl toch te kunnen organiseren, samen met De Sportvrienden van Overijse en Flanders Classics. En het is zelf met een primeur, want dit jaar mogen we ook de dames verwelkomen op ons pittig par- cours en aan de aankomst na het Schavei. Het wordt zeker een editie die ons zal bijblijven.

Tot slot richt ik mij daarom ook nog tot alle supporters: koers is een feest, maar dit jaar net iets anders. Blijf zoveel mogelijk thuis en volg de wedstrijd op je televisiescherm. Woon je langs het parcours? Supporter dan op een veilige manier en hou je aan de coronamaatregelen: bewaar afstand en draag een mondmasker.
