Biomatematický model BMM: Tour de France - 11. etapa Na programu jubilejní 100 Tour de France chyběl klasický prolog a tak jsme vhodnou trať pro BMM museli počkat až do 11. etapy, kdy přišla na řadu první individuální časovka. Náročnost 33km dlouhé trati notně zvyšoval silný vítr, se kterým se všichni závodníci potýkali. Hned v úvodu nasadil nepřekonatelnou laťku favorizovaný Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quick step), se kterým vyrovnanou partii sehrál jen žlutý Chris Froome (Sky Procycling), výrazně tím navyšující své celkové vedení. Mezi ostatními jezdci top 10 to byla vyrovnaná bitva. Roman Kreuziger (Team Saxo-Tinkoff) zajel výborně a udržel celkové 5. místo a samozřejmě velmi emotivním zážitkem pro všechny byla ostrá jízda paralympika Jirky Ježka v roli oficiálního předjezdce. Jak se mezi špalíry diváků dařilo na trati jezdcům v programu BMM? Vítr nám dal zabrat, co? Vervolgens brengt de bondsvoorzitter hulde aan de trouwe dienaars van de wielersport die ons tijdens het laatste werkjaar ontvallen zijn. Een ogenblik ingetogenheid wordt te hunner nagedachtenis in acht genomen. Nadien deelt hij mee dat elke spreker zijn toespraak in zijn eigen moedertaal of beurtelings in beide landstalen zal houden, en dit om tijd te winnen, waarbij de volledige vertaling telkens op het scherm zal geprojecteerd worden. Hij vestigt er tevens de aandacht op dat de ASV openbaar is, maar dat enkel de door de WBV en FCWB gemandateerde werkende leden het recht hebben om eventueel te stemmen of tussen te komen. 1. VERWELKOMING DOOR DE BONDSVOORZITTER De bondsvoorzitter blikt terug op 2011, dat een prachtig en onvergetelijk jaar was voor de Belgische wielersport. Zowel in het voor- als in het najaar wonnen de Belgische renners praktisch alle klassiekers. Het overwicht was zodanig groot dat men zich terug in de periode van Eddy Merckx en zijn illustere tijdsgenoten kon wanen. -

TOB1DA – Tour of Britain media pack content News release (general) DUO GEAR UP FOR TOUR OF BRITAIN CHALLENGE TO ASSIST BRITISH CYCLING TALENT A business leader and world record holder will be the first riders to complete this year’s OVO Energy Tour of Britain, as they take on the route one day ahead of the elite professionals in a bid to raise £50,000 for the future of the sport. Phil Jones, managing director of Brother UK, and James Golding, holder of the world record for the furthest distance cycled in seven days, are cycling the 1,136km route to raise money for the Dave Rayner Fund, a trust set up to help promising riders fulfil their potential as professional cyclists. Departing from Pembrey Park at 9am on Saturday 1st September, the pair will ride the first seven stages of the route over consecutive days, before completing the final stage in London on Sunday 9th September – the same day the elite cyclists will cross the finish line. Phil Jones, pioneer of the fundraising project, said: “The recent Tour de France victory of Geraint Thomas has helped to shine a spotlight on cycling and show people across the country what talent we have here in the UK. “What’s not always recognised is how challenging it is to become a professional in the sport, particularly for those who don’t have the financial backing or are not part of the elite programme of British Cycling backed by Sport England. The Dave Rayner Fund helps to overcome this by providing promising cyclists with the funding they need to make it professionally, helping to ensure British cycling continues to thrive outside of the Olympic programme. -

(30-12-2004) Aan alle supporters en wielerliefhebbers de beste wensen voor het jaar 2005 vanwege Chocolade Jacques - T-Interim - Capri Sonne. Sinds kort hebben we onze nieuwe domeinnaam http://www.jacques-t-interim.be in gebruik genomen. We werken tevens aan een nieuwe website, daarover meer in de loop van januari 2005. Tom Stubbe aangeworven (27-12-2004) Na het afhaken van Paul Van Hyfte werd Tom Stubbe aangeworven als 23ste renner van de wielerploeg Chocolade Jacques - T Interim. De renner werd voor een periode van 2 jaar aangeworven. Paul Van Hyfte stopt met koersen (19-12-2004) Tijdens de groepstraining van donderdag 16 december bereikte ons het verrassende nieuws dat Paul Van Hyfte met onmiddellijke ingang een punt zet achter zijn loopbaan als professioneel wielrenner. Pol debuteerde in 1994 als prof bij onze ploeg en neemt nu ook afscheid van het actieve wielrennen vanuit de ploeg. Tussenin kende Pol een geslaagde loopbaan in dienst van Lotto en CSC. Hij won de Schaal Sels te Merksem (2001), het Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen te Koolskamp (2001) en de Tritsaertprijs te Zottegem maar was vooral een trouw en gewaardeerd helper. Pol heeft zich veel weggecijferd voor beschermde pionnen zoals Tchmil en Jalabert. In zijn jaren bij Lotto en CSC reed hij in totaal 6 keer de Tour en 1 keer de Vuelta uit. In 2002 leverde Pol ruimschoots zijn bijdrage aan een voor CSC sportief geslaagde Tour. Hij deelde er zelfs de kamer met Jalabert en was in de ploegentijdrit één van de besten bij de rood-witten. -
