Exotic Hardwood. Green Rainforest. For Future Generations

Wood floors are the most environmentally friendly option available because trees are a renewable resource. When a large tree is extracted, several young trees grow in its place. Studies show that young trees are carbon sponges—soaking up 11 times more carbon than their predecessors.

Properly maintained wood flooring can last well over 100 years and the wood continues to store carbon even after it’s manufactured into flooring. That’s why wood flooring is classified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a carbon neutral product.

Compared to other flooring options, wood floors require few raw materials to produce which ucesred landfill waste. Old wood floors can be recycled into other materials or combusted into fuel and heat. Wood products are biodegradable and will decompose over time if left in a landfill.

Our Green Initiative

We are committed to producing sustainable floors made in Peru from exotic species in the Amazon. We own the entire production chain from the extraction of the wood to floors ready for installation. owingFoll the government’s Forest Management Plan, each one of our trees are numbered with its diameters and characteristics recorded. Only certain trees will be extracted per the governments’ guidelines to allow new trees to grow. Our flooring and production certifications include:

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC Pure) Certified & Lacey Act Compliant. Our products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. All of our wood is legally sourced and traceable.

Forest Concessions Governed by VCS & CCB Gold Standards. Our manufacturing and forest management practices reduce carbon emissions while promoting reforestation and biodiversity.

Vertical Integration System that Minimizes Waste

Any leftover wood from flooring production is utilized to make deck tiles, furniture, and décor.

Documentation is provided with every shipment.

Exotic Hardwood. Green Rainforest. With Wood Floors

A survey of real estate agents concluded that homes with wood floors sell faster and for more money than homes without wood floors. The survey further concluded that the increase could be as much as 10%

more, which is a significant increase in overall home value.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that hardwood floors improve indoor air quality because they don’t harbor microorganisms, allergens, or pesticides. Hardwood floors also minimize the

accumulation of dust, mold, and animal dander, which makes them a healthy option for residential homes.

Wood floors are designed to withstand heavy traffic from busy families and pets. Exotic hardwoods are extremely durable and will last for decades with proper care and maintenance. If solid wood floors are ever damaged, they can be sanded and refinished multiple times, and still look like new.

Why Finish with UV-Cured Aluminum Oxide

Compared to other types of wood finishes, -UV cured Aluminum Oxide is…

The Most Resilient and Long-Lasting Aluminum oxide is a naturally occurring mineral that forms a hard coating which protects oodw floors from damage. UV-cured aluminum oxide is the best choice for high-traffic areas because it’s resistant to scratches, dents, and scuffs.

Wood floors finished with aluminum oxide generally last 10-15 years longer than -installation polyurethane finishes.

Offers The Best Protection, Appearance & Preservation An aluminum oxide finish amplifies the wood’s grain pattern and enhances the floor’s aesthetic. The UV coating preserves the floor’s color and sheen so it doesn't fade quickly from UV radiation.

This finish forms an impenetrable seal that blocks oxygen, air, and water to keep the surface looking new for many years.

Emits No Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) UV coatings cure through polymerization rather than evaporation so they release no harmful vapors. Factory-finished wood flooring has no odor which makes work and living environments more hospitable after installation. All UV coatings can be formulated to meet federal, state and local VOC regulations.
