  • AATTC DL Lists 12 E7.Xlsx
DISTRIBUTION LIST August 2012 The AATTC Distribution Service aims to supply as many current Australian timetables and information brochures as possible. It also provides historical material from Australia and overseas as it becomes available. These are two feature items in this month’s Distribution List. • London Underground Train Working Timetables for all 10 lines, both the current standard timetables and the expanded timetables during the Olympic Games. The pdf files for these timetables are available on Timetables on CD 35 (Item 36). Our thanks go to AATTC members Ian Brady and Geoff Lambert for their investigative efforts in sourcing these timetables. • A Discussion Paper and Survey on the future of AATTC (Item 101). This provocative document has been prepared by AATTC Secretary Geoff Lambert in response to discussions at last year’s AGM and stimulated by AATTC Public Officer Paul Nicholson. It recognises that the world of timetables is changing rapidly, that AATTC needs to acknowledge this and confront the real issues regarding its role, functions and survival in the immediate future. Those who receive this Distribution List by email will also receive the Discussion Paper and Survey files. Other members can order the documents in either print or file formats from the Distribution List, and they are free. The AATTC Executive strongly urges every member to obtain the documents, digest the issues and respond to the survey. August 2012 items were supplied by: Barry Blair, Ian Brady, Ian Cooper, Adrian Dessanti, Scott Ferris, Hilaire Fraser, Frank Goldthorpe, Stephen Gray, David Hennell, Robert Henderson, Peter Hobbis, Les Hyland, Geoff Lambert, Brett Leslie, Ben Lewis, Geoff Mann, Michael Marshall, John Mikita, Tony McIlwain, Dennis McLean, Tony McIlwain, James Ng, Len Regan, Derek Scrafton, Lourie Smit, Peter Walhouse, Roger Wheaton, AATTC Auctions, Public Transport Victoria.

  • Screenwave International Film Festival (SWIFF) 2021 Program
SW IFFPRESENTED BY DIRECTORS’ WELCOME KATE HOWAT Festival Co-Director SWIFF in 2021 offers a new Autumn timeslot for the festival, bringing with it a sense of change and optimism, as does the year ahead. While we put 2020 behind us and look toward a brighter future, it’s also important for the critical thinking about what brought us here. Films play a vital role in asking these important questions, to provoke conversation and debate, to unite us, and to help us better understand the stories and the lives of others. Real-world stories take a front seat at SWIFF’21 with this year being the largest International Documentary program to date. Activist/artist Ai Weiwei’s fierce, front-line doco, Cockroach, takes viewers straight to the streets of Hong Kong’s political protests; with Collective, we get to experience “one of the greatest movies about journalism ever made”; while the urgent Welcome to Chechnya offers insight into the activists that risk their lives to confront the republic’s deadly war on the LGBTQI community. Travelling to over 30 countries from the comfort of our cinema seats, we experience a new world of cinema with stories that keep us close from far away. Stories that challenge, provoke, thrill and incite. To be able to share in these remarkable stories together as an audience, as a film community, is something certainly worth celebrating in 2021. I would like to thank our core team of passionate film fanatics for their dedication and hard work; and to the filmmakers and distributors for getting films made and seen across screens at such a challenging time.
