Ozone - ‘Self Defence’ 'Emergence' is the third full length studio album from (Escape Music) Cardiff-based progressive rock three-piece Godsicks. Super Fast Girlie Show - Following on from 2012's 'The Envisage Conundrum' the 'Don't Go Down Gentle' band are continuing to explore the heavier aspect of their (Antipop Records) musical style with some -inspired riffs and Godsticks - 'Emergence' melodies as displayed in opening track, 'Below The Belt'. (Self Released) Guitarist and vocalist Darran Charles has an amazing Biters - 'Electric Blood' haunting vocal style which is a mix up of Layne Stayley (Earache Records) and Scott Weiland combined with some virtuoso guitar playing which demands your full attention from the outset.

'Ruin' starts off with some intricate drum patterns from Steve Roberts who proves his mettle throughout the entire album. The track builds beautifully into a Popular riff fest with a memorable chorus. Again, the guitar (and bass Dan Nelson!) playing is impeccable. Slugfest 8 (Saturday & Sunday) - Abertillery, The Godsticks certainly have their own sound stamped all over this album although many Doll's House - 4th & 5th influences are apparent including , the aforementioned Alice in Chains and even July 2015 on occasion. Role Models - 'The Go-To Guy' (Glunk Records) 'Much Sinister' has a groove-laden riff with some great vocal melodies. ' Stage Right' has - Uber Rock a foundation-shaking riff that kicks you right between the bollocks and another infectious Interview Exclusive chorus. 'All That Remains' has a melancholy feel and some stunning melodies that take you Tom McFaull - The Bar somewhere else while listening. Stool Preachers - Uber Rock Interview Exclusive 'Hopeless Situation' and 'One Percent' continue the strong progressive feel with some complicated time changes and superb musicianship all round. Title track 'Emergence' is full of Slugfest 8 (Friday) - Abertillery, The Doll's scorching riffs, pounding drums and more brilliant guitar work from Charles. House - 3rd July 2015 Production courtesy of James Loughery (, Manics & Def Leppard) is first class adding another dimension to the Godsticks sound.

Strong stuff here from Godsticks which I'm sure will please their ever growing fan base and entice new followers.

The band are playing the Geckgo Festival in Ystrad Mynach on Aug 23rd before embarking on a European tour with guitar God Tony Macalpine.

I'm sure they'll go down a storm.
