2nd International Symposium on Aquatic Products Processing and Health ISAPPROSH 2015
PREFACE
The 2nd International Symposium on Aquatic Products Processing and Health 2015 (ISAPPROSH 2015) was held on September 13-15, 2015 at Diponegoro University, Tembalang Semarang-Indonesia. The three days the 2nd ISAPPROSH 2015 was jointly programmed by the Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Products Competitiveness Enhancement, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Republic of Indonesia, Department of Fish Products Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Diponegoro University, and Indonesian Society of Fisheries Products Processing, to share the research and technological innovation from institutions/organizations. The 2nd ISAPPROSH 2015 is unique due to the conglomeration of aquatic products and health and offer an exciting platform on 9 conference sub topic: development of fishery product handling, processing and preservation; technological innovation and post-harvest equipment; quality management and products safety; biotechnology aquatic in nutraceutical and functional foods; marketing and management on aquatic processing industry; aquatic enzyme and bacteria for fishery products and health; sustainable environmental management; sanitation and public health. The 2nd ISAPPROSH 2015 includes 11 outstanding invited speaker from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, United Kingdom, India, the Sultanate of Oman, and Thailand on the different broad topics and 128 presented manuscripts representing the latest research during the 3 days symposium on the theme ”Sustaining Fisheries Industry to Support Global Maritime Axis”. Indeed, the result of this symposium will provide valuable information on the aquatic processing technology and industry. Furthermore, this symposium will strengthen the collaboration among universities and research institution, policy makers, practitioners, business owners, and students in fishery and aquatic processing development. The Organizing Committee of the 2nd ISAPPROSH 2015 express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the all the authors and Scientific and Editorial (S&E) Board for their high quality contribution. The organizing committee also would like to express our gratitude to all the sponsors of the 2nd ISAPPROSH 2015.
