This is possible only when the students undergo studies with an updated and evolving curriculum to match global scenario. I congratulate AICTE for developing a model curriculum with the help of academic and industry experts for various disciplines of Undergraduate Degree courses in Engineering & Technology which will be available for Universities and Institutions. This adoption will be advantageous for the students to enhance their skills and employability. Introduction of mandatory Induction program for students belonging to diverse backgrounds to adjust themselves in the new environment of Engineering degree courses is praise worthy. An initiative to be continued in future as well…. PREFACE There has been a concern about quality of technical education in India although in terms of access and equity, India has done very well. AICTE is mandated for planned and coordinated development of Technical Education; regulate proper maintenance of norms & standards and expansion of technical Education with Quality. -

Mahabharatha Tatparya Nirnaya Chapter XIX The episodes of Lakshagriha, Bhimasena's marriage with Hidimba, Killing Bakasura, Draupadi svayamwara, Pandavas settling down in Indraprastha are described in this chapter. The details of these episodes are well-known. Therefore the special points of religious and moral conduct highlights in Tatparya Nirnaya and its commentaries will be briefly stated here. Kanika's wrong advice to Duryodhana This chapter starts with instructions of Kanika an expert in the evil policies of politics to Duryodhana. This Kanika was also known as Kalinga. Probably he hailed from Kalinga region. He was a person if Bharadvaja gotra and an adviser to Shatrujna the king of Sauvira. He told Duryodhana that when the close relatives like brothers, parents, teachers, and friends are our enemies, we should talk sweet outwardly and plan for destroying them. Heretics, robbers, theives and poor persons should be employed to kill them by poison. Outwardly we should pretend to be religiously.Rituals, sacrifices etc should be performed. Taking people into confidence by these means we should hit our enemy when the time is ripe. In this way Kanika secretly advised Duryodhana to plan against Pandavas. Duryodhana approached his father Dhritarashtra and appealed to him to send out Pandavas to some other place. Initially Dhritarashtra said Pandavas are also my sons, they are well behaved, brave, they will add to the wealth and the reputation of our kingdom, and therefore, it is not proper to send them out. However, Duryodhana insisted that they should be sent out. He said he has mastered one hundred and thirty powerful hymns that will protect him from the enemies. -

HTTP://WWW.UPSCPORTAL.COM POLITICAL NEWS ELECTION COMMISSION AT 60 After overseeing 15 general elections to the Lok Sabha, the Election Commission of India, in its diamond jubilee year, can with justifiable pride claim to have nursed and st rengthened the electoral processes of a nascent democracy. The successes have not been consiste nt or uniform, but over the last six decades the ECI managed to make the worlds largest democratic p rocess freer and fairer. One of the instruments of this success is surely the Model Code of C onduct. D esigned to offer a level playing field to all political parties, it has been used to neu tralise many of the inherent advantages of a ruling party in an election. Although the model code wa s originally based on political consensus and does not still enjoy statutory sanction, it served as a handy tool for placing curbs on the abuse of the official machinery for campaigning. While ther e have been complaints of excess in the sometimes mindless application of the model code, th e benefits have generally outweighed the costs. After the Election Commission was made a three-member body, its functioning beca me more institutionalised and more transparent with little room for the caprices of an o verbearing personality. The diamond jubilee is also an occasion for the ECI to look at the challenges ah ead, especially those relating to criminalisation of politics and use of money power in elections. Neither of these issues is new. What is clear is that the efforts of the Commission to t ackle them have generally lacked conviction and have not yielded any significant results. -

Political activist, actor, playwright and poet, Safdar had been deeply committed, like so many young men and women of his generation, to the anti-imperialist, secular and egalitarian values that were woven into the rich fabric of the nation’s liberation struggle. Safdar moved closer to the Left, eventually joining the CPI(M), to pursue his goal of being part of a social order worthy of a free people. Tragically, it would be of the manner of his death at the hands of a politically patronised mafia that would single him out. The spontaneous, nationwide wave of revulsion, grief and resistance aroused by his brutal murder transformed him into a powerful symbol of the very values that had been sought to be crushed by his death. Such a death belongs to the revolutionary martyr. 6 PUBLICATIONS Safdar was thirty-four years old when he died. -
How Habib Tanvir Contemporizes the Past in His Play Agra Bazaar Sumaiya Sanaullah Khan
International Journal of English Literature and Social Sciences, 5(5) Sep-Oct 2020 |Available online: https://ijels.com/ Presenting the Past: How Habib Tanvir Contemporizes the Past in his play Agra Bazaar Sumaiya Sanaullah Khan Research Scholar, Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India Abstract— Agra Bazaar, Habib Tanvir’s musical masterpiece, was first staged in 1954 with a cast of untrained actors in a bazaar. The musical drama is based on the life of Nazir Akbarabadi, the much- neglected Urdu poet of the eighteenth century. It was with this play that Tanvir evolved as one of the finest Indian playwrights and theatre director. In Agra Bazaar is Tanvir rediscovering Akbarabadi’s works by using hiss verses and highlighting the popularity of the Urdu poet among the working-class people of the eighteenth century. Tanvir himself writes that he has chosen Nazir because as he explains, “In Nazir’s poetry I heard echoes of optimism and social relevance. I was inspired by Nazir’s voice which was different from any other poet but was also the voice of humanity…”(“Preface to the First Edition” 1). It is Akbarabadi’s socially relevant verses that Tanvir is able to contemporize the past. The play is situated in the eighteenth century, but an in-depth analysis of the play finds out that he though his craft and the clever use Akbarabadi’s poetry has explored the social and political situation of the twentieth century through historicizing the eighteenth century. During India’s freedom movement, the Progressive writers in 1936 gave a call to not only stand against Imperialism but also against inequality, social injustice and fascism within India. The Progressive writers were deeply concerned with the fact that if India was to become truly independent then it had to free itself from class, caste and gender disparities. Hence the idea of critical realism in literature was given precedence against all other forms of writing by the Progressive writers. AIPWA led to the formation of IPTA in 1942. Based on the same precepts as the AIPWA, IPTA concentrated on People’s theatre. Central to it was the belief that the People’s theatre must evolve from the organized mass movement of workers, peasants, students, youth and the middle class. But whereas AIPWA imparted great significance to social realism as a mode of writing, IPTA concentrated more on the folk form. -

Mahabharatha Tatparya Nirnaya Agnatavasa of Pandavas the Events
Mahabharatha Tatparya Nirnaya Agnatavasa of Pandavas The events of Virataparva that relate to the agnatavasa of Pandavas are described in 23rd chapter. After completing the twelve years period of Vanavasa Pandavas took leave of Dhaumya, other sages and Brahman’s and made up their mind to undergo agnatavasa. They went to capital city of Virata. Before they entered the city they hid their weapons on a Sami tree in the outskirts of the city. The five Pandavas assumed the form of an ascetic, a cook, a eunuch, a charioteer, and a cowherd respectively. Draupadi assumed the form of Sairandhri i.e. a female artisan. Bhima assumed the form of cook for two reasons i) He never took food prepared by others ii) He did not want to reveal his great knowledge by assuming a Brahmana form. During their Agnatavasa they did not serve Virata or any other person. The younger brothers of Yudhishtira served Lord Hari and their eldest brother Yudhishtira in whom also God was present by the name of Yudhishtira One day a wrestler who had become invincible by the boon of Siva came to Virata's city. The wrestlers maintained by Virata were not able to meet his challenge. The ascetic i.e.Yudhishtira suggested to king Virata that the cook who had the skill in wrestling well could be asked to wrestle with him. The cook i.e., Bhima, wrestled with him and killed. Kichaka is Killed Ten months after Pandava's stay at Virata's palace, Kichaka, the brother of Queen Sudesna came. He was away to conquer the neighboring kings.
