Arc Flash Program Quarterly Report

1 Aug 2019 – 31 Nov 2019

The Arc Flash Program will perform studies to determine the maximum electrical arc energy that an operation’s personnel could be exposed to when performing work at The University of at . Electrical equipment will be labeled according to NFPA 70E and NEC standards. The program will address all buildings on the Main Campus and PRC. Progress Summary of Fiscal Quarter    Engineer worked with electrician and zone maintenance 201 Total Bldgs. teams to gather data and analyze electrical systems for HSM and CMA, ART, and BAT/BEN/MEZ. Changes to protective device Arc Flash Analysis settings were implemented as well as relay replacement. The Complete: engineer will be ending his tenure at UT so there may be a 75 temporary hiatus moving forward. ART buildings and CMA AFA Percent Complete: buildings are ready for modeling and analysis but are not 37.3% completed at this time. Labels will be applied to POB, HSM, PAC, and BATT/BEN/MEZZ with updated results prior to departure.
