Unfortunately, 2 have died, and the remaining 6 have moved and are being cared for by relatives. We would like to thank our donors, supporters, our 8 (8 in year 2005) full time and 15 (12) part time staff and our 40 (15) volunteers for helping Orran achieve its mission of “Helping Families in Need”. Volunteers There are currently 40 active volunteers involved in the overall activities of Orran. Internship courses are organized for 15 students of Yerevan State University and Khachatur Abovian Pedagogical University. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM A Selection of Success Stories- Educational How Orran changed my life When she graduated from high school, Armine Terterian received intensive tutoring at Orran in order to prepare her for the university exam. Armine successfully passed the exams and gained admission to the Yerevan University of Management. Thanks to the generosity of the Rector of the University, Mr. Ruben Aroushanyan, Armine was given a 50% discount on her tuition fee. The fee is being paid jointly by Orran and her Armine Terteryan at Orran Ruzanna Gasparyan at Orran family. Thanks to the help of Orran, her dream of taking vocal lessons has come true. This formal and academic training will enable Harutyun to provide for his family in the near future. The Kankanian family, headed by a single, unemployed mother of five, lost their flat due to construction in downtown Yerevan. Through Orran, the family found donors in Mrs. Stella Derrostamian and Mrs. Klara Moradkhan to sponsor the rent for their new flat.
