The event, 20km from the centre of , was the first behind the ‘iron curtain’ and today draws in fans in from nations such as Germany, Austria and Finland to give it an international flavour. With 14 turns over 4.4km of undulating asphalt, the circuit today is seen as challenge to the drivers and teams alike, and despite its twisty nature, usually provides an entertaining and eventful race.
