(Willem Marinus) / Archief 7 Archiefvorming Archiefvorming De verwerving van het archief DE VERWERVING VAN HET ARCHIEF Het archief is binnen vier verschillende aanwinsten binnengekomen. Het Dudok archief in de collectie van het NAi bestond lange tijd uit een deel dat via de SAM in de collectie van het NDB terecht gekomen was, en daarmee in de collectie van het NAi was overgegaan. en een ander deel dat gevormd werd door een bruikleen van de gemeente Hilversum. Deze bruikleen betreft alleen materiaal betreffende de projecten. Deze twee delen zijn in 1981 binnen één inventaris beschreven, waarbij stukken betreffende projecten uit de twee aanwinsten onder de projectbeschrijvingen zijn gebracht. In 2007 is er, als bruikleen, een grote hoeveelheid materiaal verworven van de Dudok Stichting. Deze aanwinst heeft plaatsgevonden met tussenkomst van Dr. Herman van Bergeijk van de TU Delft, die het materiaal enige tijd als studiecollectie bij de TU Delft beheerde. De stukken in deze aanwinst komen voor een groot deel uit dezelfde ontwerpactiviteiten en projecten voort als de stukken in de twee ‘oude’ aanwinsten. Tot 2012 waren deze stukken binnen een supplement bij de inventaris beschreven. Toen zijn ze bij de herbewerking integraal onderdeel van de inventaris geworden. Hierbij zijn beschrijvingen van stukken uit het supplement bij de projecten, onder de projecten in de rubriek projecten gebracht. In een aantal gevallen zijn stukken uit de aanwinst onder de overige rubrieken gebracht. Het supplement is daarmee vervallen. Tenslotte is er in 2008 via dhr. Van Bodegom een schenking binnengekomen die ontwerpen voor Esso tankstations betreft. Deze is toen binnen een supplement bij de inventaris beschreven. Omdat dit materiaal een logische eenheid binnen het archief vormt, is het supplement bij de herbewerking in 2012 intact gelaten. De herkomst van de stukken houdt in dat de projectdossiers in de rubriek 'projecten' in een aantal gevallen bestaan uit stukken met twee of drie verschillende bronnen van herkomst: de SAM/NDB aanwinst, de bruikleen van de gemeente Hilversum en de aanwinst van de Dudok Stichting uit 2007. Deze stukken zijn wel steeds in gescheiden omslagen bewaard, en per omslag (inventarisnummer) is in het Collectie Informatie Systeem van het NAi de herkomst vermeld. Binnen de overige rubrieken (uitgezonderd het supplement betreffende de Esso-stations) zijn de stukken voor het overgrote deel afkomstig uit het SAM/NDB deel. Hier is op (deel)dossierniveau de herkomst alleen vermeld als deze hier van afwijkt. In de rubriek correspondentie bevinden zicht twee reeksen: één afkomstig uit de SAM/NDB aanwinst één uit afkomstig uit de Dudok aanwinst. 8 Dudok, W.M. De jonge Dudok kiest echter niet voor een muzikale carrière, maar gaat naar de Cadettenschool in Alkmaar om vervolgens te worden toegelaten aan de Militaire Academie in Breda. Na zijn overplaatsing naar de Staf der Genie in Amsterdam wordt hij belast met verbouwingen van bestaande gebouwen en fortenbouw in

    De meest bekende afkorting van Maastricht: V&D 100 jaar In 1957 viert V&D zijn vijftigjarig jubileum. Ter gelegenheid hiervan verscheen er een gedenkboekje dat de moeite waard is om 50 jaar na dato nog eens te raadplegen alvorens de grote veranderingen onder de loep te nemen die ook V&D in de loop van de volgende halve eeuw heeft ondergaan. We schrijven de datum 19 november 1906, de dag waarop in het notariskantoor van Mr. Van de Gracht te Amsterdam de akte tot oprichting van de naamloze vennootschap ‘gepasseerd’ werd: “W.H. Vroom, koopman, wonende te Amsterdam. A.K.R. Dreesmann, koopman, wonende te Bussum. B.H. Vroom, koopman, wonende te Amsterdam, handelende bij deze ingevolge onderhandse akte van volmacht, den tweede november dezes jaar te Rotterdam getekend, die na den lasthebber in tegenwoordigheid van mij notaris en de getuigen voor echt erkend en ten blijke daarvan door alle getekend te zijn, aan deze akte is gehecht als lasthebber van de Heer J.B.A.R. Rosenmöller, koopman, wonende te Rotterdam”. Van de 17 artikelen die de duur, naam, zetel en werkkring van de vennootschap regelen is artikel 2 wel het belangrijkste: “De vennootschap draagt den naam van Maastrichtse Manufacturenhandel van Vroom & Dreesmann, is gevestigd te Maastricht en heeft ten doel den handel in manufacturen en aanverwante artikelen”. Het is aardig, aan de hand van een oud adresboek te kijken, hoe bescheiden V&D in de eerste jaren nog tussen zijn buren zat. Op de hoek van de Vijfharingstraat was de herenmodezaak Jungschläger gevestigd. Deze stond later de helft van het pand af voor de sigarenzaak ‘Cardoza’, later Kemmerling.

    oktober Dit jaar is het honderd jaar geleden dat Willem Marinus Dudok 2015 (1884-1974) in Hilversum kwam werken. De gemeente Hilversum Het werk van Dudok, 100 jaar betekenis heeft daarom 2015 tot Dudokjaar uitgeroepen. Dit was de HET WERK VAN DUDOK, aanleiding voor de Gemeente Hilversum om in samenwerking met Nr Stichting Docomomo Nederland een publicatie samen te stellen en 100 JAAR BETEKENIS een seminar te organiseren over het werk van deze architect en 5123467890 stedenbouwkundige. Deze publicatie, bestaande uit 16 bijdragen van historici, architecten, monumentenzorgers en academici met een persoonlijke interesse of vakmatige bemoeienis met Dudoks oeuvre, geeft nieuwe inzichten en belicht bestaande kennis van een onbekende kant. Het werk van Dudok blijkt dusdanig veelzijdig te zijn en tot de verbeelding te spreken dat deze publicatie breed gebruikt kan worden. While Volume I (Nos 2, 3 & 5) largely explored the dramatic and emotional aspects of his music, this second selection (Nos 1, 4 & 6) reveals his optimism and capacity for wit and surprise. Haydn remains the Quartet’s most beloved composer whose works were the very first they played together. His music continues to guide their hands and minds when exploring repertoire from before and after his time. Preface This master’s thesis is about the future development of the Dutch upscale department store, de Bijenkorf in terms of real estate management plan. Upscale department stores build its characteristic by having invited selected brands, and have specific target group who have higher purchasing power than average, and now de Bijenkorf is the only upscale department store brand in the Netherlands. To take care of its target customers, it has prepared for the commensurate assortment of brands with various departments for the customers’ tastes. As we realize that the department store itself has an image of an old fashioned retail format comparing to other newly developed retail formats, it may look decreasing retail business in these days. However, it still shows that the big retailer in the city center needs to be prepared more properly by predicting the future demands of the cities not only for their business profitability but also for the city’s image or branding. They need to keep this business and prepare more properly for the future.
