OF THE SOCIETY OF ANTIQUARIES OF SCOTLAND.

1. The purpose of this Society shall be the study of the ANTIQUITIES AND HISTOR SCOTLANDF YO , more especiall meany yb Archa3ologicaf so l Research. 2. The Society shall consist of Fellows, Honorary Fellows, Corresponding Members Ladd an , y Associates. 3. Candidates for admission as Fellows must sign the Form of Applica- tion prescribe e Councilth y musd b d proposee an , b t a Fello y d b dw an seconded by two members of the Council. Admission shall be by ballot. The Ballot may be taken for all the Candidates named in the billet at once; but if three or more black balls appear, the Chairman of the Meeting shall cause the Candidates to be balloted for singly. Any Candidate receiving less than two-thirds of the votes given shall not be admitted. 5. Ladies who have done valuable work in the field of Archaeology may be admitted as Lady Associates. The number of Lady Associates shall t exceeno d twenty-five. Every Fellow not being in arrears of the annual subscription shall be entitled to receive the printed Proceedings of the Society from the date of election. . Subject to the Laws and to the control of the Society in General Meetings, the affairs of the Society shall be managed by a Council elected and appointed as hereinafter set forth.
