( 7 5 7 ) 5 9 5 - 1 9 5 3 L I N K O F H A M P T O N R O A D S Chesapeake - Grab and go breakfasts and lunches will be provided at six schools starting Tuesday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the student bus ramps. Students must be present: B. M. Williams Primary School, 1100 N. Battlefield Blvd. Carver Intermediate School, 2601 Broad St. G. A. Treakle Elementary School, 2500 Gilmerton Road Oscar Smith High School, 1994 Tiger Drive Southwestern Elementary School, 4410 Airline Blvd. Thurgood Marshall Elementary School, 2706 Border Road Gloucester County - On March 16 and 17, the district’s providing grab and go meals for breakfast and lunch at every school. Breakfasts can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The district plans to announce longer-term plans on Tuesday. Hampton - Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, any child can receive two meals at the following locations: Aberdeen Elementary School, 1424 Aberdeen Road Cary Elementary School, 2009 Andrews Blvd. Langley Elementary School, 16 Rockwell Road Moton Early Childhood Center, 339 Old Buckroe Road Hampton High School, 1491 West Queen St. Syms Middle School, 170 Fox Hill Road Tarrant Middle School, 1435 Todds Lane To minimize person-to-person contact, the meals will be offered for pickup only. Special accommodations for allergies will be provided if a child has a medical note on file. If a special meal is required, call 757-727-2350. Isle of Wight - Weekdays, meals for children will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grab and go pick-up at the following schools: Carrsville Elementary School, 5355 Carrsville Hwy Georgie Tyler Middle School, 23320 N. Court St. Smithfield High School, 14171 Turner Drive Additionally, school buses will be delivering meals to the following areas throughout the county daily, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Jersey Park, Jersey Park Apartments, Red Oaks Mobile Community, Bradford Mews Apartments, Smithfield Apartments, Church Manor Apartments, Cedar Street Apartments, Rushmere Fire Department, Eagle Harbor Apartments, Camptown Park, Twin Ponds Mobile Community, Clydesdale Mobile Community, Georgie Tyler Apartments, Zuni Citgo, Windsor Community Center Newport News - Families can pick up the meals in a drive-thru lane beginning Tuesday, March 17 from noon until 1:30 p.m. each weekday. The meal will include lunch and a breakfast snack for the next day. Norcom High School, 1801 London Blvd. Wilson High School, 1401 Elmhurst Lane Children must be physically present to receive a meal. This is a change from the district’s earlier plans — instead of separate pick-ups for breakfast and lunch, both meals will be distributed at once to save families from having to make multiple trips.Between noon and 2 p.m. and 5 and 7 p.m., the city will serve lunch and dinner at the following sites:Social Services Building, 1701 High St.Neighborhood Facility Recreation Center, 900 Elm Ave.Cavalier Manor Recreation Center, 404 Viking St.J.E. Parker Recreation Center, 2430 Turnpike Road Southampton County - The district is providing drive-thru meal service for students. They’ll provide three days worth of breakfasts and lunches to students on Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Riverdale Elementary School, 31023 Camp Pkwy. The district asks families who plan to pick up a meal let them know in advance by calling 757-352-8951 or 757-556-4890 or by contacting your child’s principal. Virginia Beach - The district will offer to-go meals on weekdays starting Tuesday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the following schools: Arrowhead Elementary, 5549 Susquehanna Drive Bayside 6th Grade Campus, 4722 Jericho Road Bayside Elementary, 5649 Bayside Road Bayside High, 4960 Haygood Road Bayside Middle, 965 Newtown Road Birdneck Elementary, 957 S. The Williamsburg Area Transit Authority is providing free rides to and from those locations: James River Elementary School, 8901 Pocahontas Trail (WATA Route 1) James Blair Middle School, 101 Longhill Road (WATA Route 2 and Route 5) Toano Middle School, 7817 Richmond Road (WATA Route 9) Warhill High School, 4615 Opportunity Way (WATA Route 4) York County - The district will provide to-go bags with food for multiple days to any students in need. Bags can be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the following locations: Magruder Elementary School, 700 Penniman Road Tabb High School, 4431 Big Bethel Road York High School, 9300 George Washington Memorial Hwy. BUSINESSES OFFERING FREE MEALS TO CHILDREN Aromas - will be giving out free lunches to children from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at both their Williamsburg and Newport News locations. Zeros Subs at the Oceanfront, 632 Virginia Beach Blvd. Free bagged lunches (ham and cheese, fruit roll up and chips) on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. One per day per child. Four Oaks Day Center are distributing daily, bagged lunches to the homeless at 34th and Huntington. Fuddruckers in Norfolk, 7750 Tidewater Drive. Free kids hamburger meal for all school-aged children starting Monday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. until schools are back in session. Mango Mangeaux in Hampton, 33 Melten St. E. Orange bag lunches for students K-12 from noon to 2 p.m. weekdays through March 20.
