Telenor+Microsoft = more value for customers

Telenor is the first telco in Serbia to offer Microsoft cloud services to small and medium businesses. This is the result of a global partnership between Microsoft and Telenor that began in Denmark.

Office365 and OneDrive, both popular Microsoft products, are now part of a new offer for businesses in Serbia, making Telenor a "One Stop Shop" for business customers. In addition to basic communication services, these customers are now getting fast internet with Telenor's reliable Smart network, the option to choose from a variety of devices and access to relevant digital services. This equals an easy, affordable and complete Telenor solution for businesses, which may be particularly interesting for small and medium enterprises that often need a limited number of Microsoft licenses and are without own IT unit and support. "We in Telenor want to enable companies to operate successfully with the help of mobile communications in a dynamic, competitive environment. OneDrive and Office 365 as the most demanded digital services intended for business, included in Telenor offer, bring new possibilities for creating a true mobile office," says Mikkel Noesgaard, Chief Marketing Officer in Telenor Serbia. In addition to licenses for Microsoft classics that are part of Office 365, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., these services are enabling well-protected storage for data, where documents can be accessed and shared on any device at any time, including real-time collaboration from remote locations.

Pioneering in Denmark

Telenor has already introduced Microsoft services as a part of their offer in Denmark, being among the first in Europe with this solution for business customers. Last year, Telenor Denmark was the first in the world to include Microsoft services in their offer for consumers, specifically families, helping Danes to safely store their family memories. "We were among the first ones in Europe to include Microsoft services in our offer. It is an excellent example of how we can use our scale and global partnerships to take a lead in introducing relevant services for European customers, always helping them to get more benefit of being connected," says Kjell-Morten Johnsen, Executive Vice-President and Head of Europe region.

The launch of Microsoft services as a part of Telenor offer to customers is the result of the global partnership between Microsoft and Telenor. Marianne Rolling, Microsoft's General Manager of Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners for Central and Eastern Europe who attended the press conference in Serbia, said that Telenor is an innovative company and that services like the one introduced in Serbia bring together the best of both companies.
