KO

Kimaunie H.A Osbourne was born April 10, 1991 in Spanish Town, Jamaica and raised in Mount Vernon, . He’s a Rap Artist who goes by the stage name “K.O”. K.O started rapping at the age of 12 in his parents’ basement. His cousin, who was a DJ at the time, inspired his love for music. Together they built a home studio and started focusing on music.

Artists such as Tupac, Dmx, Big Pun, and Jay-z have inspired K.O. Listening to these artists gave K.O the blueprint of what he wanted to sound like, and he took a little from each artist and made himself into the artist he is today. K.O not only looked to these artists for musical inspiration but also business inspiration. Just a year ago K.O came up with a strategy to get his music played in clubs, and that was to become a "DJ". He would book gigs and spin his own music for the masses. It wasn’t an easy task and K.O had to make a sacrifice. The time he used to have to create new music was now being spent working in clubs. He first started in a hole in a wall bar but then progressed to big clubs in like, Divas, Sues, and Tropicana’s. While Dj'ing he networked and gained a few contacts from the industry. So it worked out for the best.

Performances: He performed his first show at the young age of 13 at Juneteenth/White Plains, NY. From there he went on to perform on the “Late Night with Johnny P” show in Staten Island, Delaware State University, “Dover Downs Casino” in Delaware, Juneteenth in Englewood New Jersey, and at “The Garage Night Club” in the Bronx.

K.O has been active in perfecting his craft with spending numerous hours in the studio with his management team H.E.R.O. Movement. It won’t be long until K.O gradually establishes himself as one of Mount Vernon’s greatest and hardest working MC’s.
