COVID-19 CODE OF CONDUCT: Friday 9 and Saturday 10 July For your safety and the safety of others, please make sure to observe the following Covid-19 Code of Conduct whilst at Racecourse to keep everyone safe and to keep racing:

• Do not travel to York Racecourse if you have any Covid-19 symptoms.

• Please comply with any health checks that may be required on entering York Racecourse - there is no requirement to prove a negative lateral flow test or evidence of vaccination.

• Where possible, please travel to York Racecourse in private transport, walk or cycle - there is ample free parking on arrival and cycle racks on Grandstand Road (under the white footbridge) and adjacent to the Sir Henry Cecil Gates.

• Observe social distancing protocols at all times, whether within or external to York Racecourse, indoors or outdoors.

• Face coverings must be worn in accordance with prevailing National Government Guidelines - this means when inside a building, except whilst seated to eat or drink, or at any other time when not able to keep the required social distance. Please do not be offended if one of our team asks you to wear your face covering – we are simply trying to keep everyone safe and to keep racing. • Given the protocols in place, we are not applying our usual dress code at York for these two racedays – racegoers are welcome to dress as they feel comfortable, and for the weather.

• It will be possible to place a bet with Hill or tote on a both a cash and cashless basis. Some on-course bookmakers have the ability to take cashless bets alongside cash bets.

• Table service for drinks will be available indoors in the Stand. However, as a ticketed sports venue, it is also possible to approach an outdoor bar to purchase a drink, provided it is then consumed whilst seated at a table. It will be easy to purchase food and drinks by cashless methods using a smart phone or card, although paying for food and drink by cash will remain an option.

• Please regularly wash your hands, avoid touching your face, and then disposing of any used tissues appropriately. Please bring and use your own hand sanitiser. There will be a number of hand sanitiser stations around York Racecourse for you to use regularly as well.

• Please do not congregate in areas of York Racecourse where space is limited - for example, around the parade ring or on the viewing lawns. There should be plenty of space to spread out and keep your distance.

• Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways, etc, are clear before you walk through and observe designated one-way routes and tidal flow systems.

• Limit face-to-face contact with other spectators and refrain from hugs, high fives and any contact with people not in your social bubble.

• Follow all signage and the instructions of our team, officials or any emergency service personnel present at York Racecourse. We are all simply trying to keep you safe and keep us racing.

• Do not try to access areas of York Racecourse that are closed off or designated for participants.

• Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.

Thank you so much for your support and co-operation.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Knavesmire.
