This man influenced the Canadian society by being the first person black person to have the . The Victoria cross is the highest award of the honours system. When William Hall was 15 he joined the crew of the merchant ship he even served 3 years in the American navy also in 1852 he joined the British navy as an able seaman. Also the Victoria cross is one of the famous medals in the world they are also make it different minerals like copper silver and gold.

This person changed life today by being the first black person to earn the Victoria cross. In my research I saw that the Victoria Cross is one of the famous medal’s in the world and I thought that it wasn’t. Also he was a great warrior then anyone of the British navy and he changed life as today by following his own dreams also that he was known to have his picture on the Canadian stamp on February 2010.
