Revenge of the Green-eyed “Envy Monster” people for the race and DE, and good barbecue! The next I try not to be envious. It’s not a good way to be. So as to a 16 day itinerary over there, I learned that the bike I sit next to my bike, sipping a cold one, and a local tells trip starts in Passau, Germany- a 3 hour drive from me that “I really want to go to America and visit Utah”… Stuttgart, my center of envy. But considering that last Christmas she surprised my son and me with a trip to the F1 race in Austin later this month, I discounted that idea. So for now I’ll continue to bury the envy without a concrete plan to get to the museum and factory (or Le Mans, or Spa). Roadrunner Ramblings October 2017 14 Buddy Walk Charity Car Show

story and photos by Steve Waller

The Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network held their annual Buddy Walk at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum. Roadrunner Region again selected the charity for a generous donation, and displayed many shiny Porsches on the Balloon Museum grounds. There is a lot going on during this Saturday morning gathering. Music, food, vendor displays, dancing groups and some fine examples of German engineering. The weather cooperated with just a few sprinkles dotting the shiny roofs and frunks. And Roadrunners enjoyed the camaraderie, like we do at all our social events. Thanks go out to Mike and Paula Suttle, and Chris and Cricket Marquez for coordination and on site parking duties. Also Sean Simpson for doughnuts and Willard and Marsha MenNe for coffee. And once again the Porsche group out scored the Mercedes group 17 to 5.
