13 The Grapevine Jan 27 - Feb 10, 2011 Wearing Pearls in the Kitchen – Happy Holidays! Happy 2011! Yes, I know I’m a bit late out of the starting gate, I tried hibernating through the winter but I can tell you that bears make it look easy. It’s hard to sleep through en entire season when you have to keep getting up to go to the bathroom every few hours. Oh well, I’m glad I’m awake anyway. 2011 is off to a roaring start and no negative thermometer reading is going to stop me from making this the best year ever. Who’s with me?! What’s your resolution? I resolve to laugh more, live more, read more, and eat more of what makes me happy! Within reason of course, everything in moderation. 2011 is the year to be good to yourself, your friends and your family. Why not invite them over for a meal and conversation? Snuggle with your sweetie more. Go out dancing with the girls. Go out drinking with the boys (just be responsible, skip the drunk texting and don’t drive!) Have fun! Live it up! Ok, with that, here’s a down home recipe that’s sure to warm you, body and soul. It’ll get you ready for those wild nights out on the town. ~Victoria Comeau
