Pirana 3DD’de Christopher Lloyd (Back To The Future) garip kişilikli pirana uzmanı rolüyle yeniden karşımızda olacak. Önceki saldırıdan sağ kurtulan Paul Scheer (The League) ve Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) bu balık çılgınlığının içine geri dönecek. “Sahil Güvenlik” dizisindeki sıcak kumların yakışıklı yıldızı David Hasselhoff, Aquapark’ın açılışına katılmak üzere karşımıza çıkacak. YAPIM NOTLARI Pirana 3D gibi bir korku-komedi filmini takip etmenizi ne sağlayabilir? Dimension Films bunun çözümünü filmdeki kanı, vahşeti, birbirinden güzel genç kızların sayısını arttırmakta buldu. Ayrıca Pirana 3D’de edindikleri üç boyut bilgi ve tecrübesini de ikiye katlayarak son teknolojik imkanlarla serinin yenisi Pirana 3DD karşınızda. Dimension bu filmi yapmak için korku türünde başarılı isimleri bir araya getirmeyi hedefledi. Kariyerine yine Dimesion’ın yapımcısı olduğu Feast ile başlayan John Gulager yönetmen koltuğuna oturuyor. Senaryo ekibi SAW’un yazarları Marcus Dunstan ve Patrick Melton’dan oluşuyor. Yönetmen Gulager, 1970’ler tarzı korku öğelerini çok sevdiğini ve bu tarzı temel alarak bir film yapmaya çalıştıklarını, komedi unsurlarının da absürd bir espri anlayışı ile işlenmesinin hedef alındığını belirtiyor. Pirana saldırısının gerçekleşeceği yer konusunda yapılan beyin fırtınaları ekibi Aquapark fikrine götürmüş. Konsepti daha farklı bir boyuta taşımak isteyen ekip, pirana saldırısının olabileceği en talihsiz ve şaşırtıcı yeri bulmaya çalışmışlar. Kalabalık bir su parkı fikri onları çok heyecanlandırmış. Çocuk havuzu, su kaydırakları… dehşetin iki katına çıkmasını sağlayacak öğeler olarak cezbedici bir fikir olmuş. Hikaye Arizona, Cross Lake’te su parkı işletecek olan bir aile üzerinde ilerliyor. Yaz sezonu yaklaşmakta ve parkın açılışı onlar için çok heyecan verici bir aşamadadır. Parkın işletmesini üstlenen Chet (David Koechner) lokasyon seçerken, piranaların saldırısına uğrayacağını hiç hesaba katmamıştır. Aquapark’ı şehrin merkezine değil de gölün kenarına yapmayı seçmek hem Aquapark’ın hem de açılışa gelenlerin kanlı sonu olacaktır. Pirana 3DD’de, Pirana 3D’de olduğu gibi, 70 ve 80’lerin gençlere hitap eden korku sineması unsurları harmanlanmıştır: seksi kızlar ve delikanlılar yazın eğlencesine kendilerini kaptırmıştır; zeki ve güzel genç kız tehlikeyi ilk fark eden olur ve bunun önüne geçmeye çalışır; gözünü para bürümüş üvey baba hiç bir uyarıyı dikkate almaz ve burnunun dikine gider… Film aynı zamanda ufak bir aşk hikayesine de yer verip; yakışıklı eski sevgilisi ile yıllardır tanıdığı en yakın arkadaşı arasında kalan genç kızın gerçek aşkı bulma serüvenini de anlatıyor. .

A major change occurs in the 1960s when humans become the monster, reflecting the violence and social upheaval in the United States during that decade. As America continues to change in the coming decades, the human monster undergoes multiple transformations. First is the lone psychopath, popular during the 1960s and seen in films such as Psycho (1960) and Homicidal (1961).
