Nine Parchments is a co-operative blast 'em up game of magical mayhem! Runaway apprentice wizards seize the opportunity to complete their spellbooks by going after the lost Nine Parchments.

As the would-be wizards rapidly acquire powerful new spells without learning proper safety measures, it's natural their hasty progress results in plenty of deadly accidents...

Nine Parchments combines real-time spell-shooting action with RPG elements - level up your character and collect magical loot, filling your wardrobe with a myriad of wizard hats and powerful staves.

Characters - 8 playable characters in total, each with 4 variations (A, B, C, D) o Cornelius, Rudolfus, Gislan, Carabel, Nim, Owl, Marvek, Amadeus - Start out with two character (Cornelius and Gislan), other characters and variations can be unlocked. - Each variation and character has different starting spells. - Characters are unlocked via quests o First you need to find the character’s staff o The staff will unlock the quest door when you find it o Variations B/C are unlocked via achievements, D variation from doing the unlock quest in hardcore difficulty o B/C Variations unlock new skill trees, and D variation unlocks level cap to 60 Experience/Levels/Skills - Level/Experience/Skill tree is tied to the character, but not to the variation, so you can freely use the skill points on any variation you have unlocked. - The level cap is 40 on normal difficulties, 60 on hardcore(when you play with D-variant characters) o 1 level = 1 skill point o Killing monsters gives experience - Each character has 3 different skill tree variations - Skills can be re-specced at the start of a new game, but not during one Items - Staves: o 27 different ones o Have some stats, mostly affecting melee damage, can have specific effect like fire damage on landing o Might have e.g. faster blink recharge time effect - Hats o 31 different ones o Cosmetic items with three different rarity tiers Difficulties - Easy - Normal (Default/recommended) - Hard (More experience, bigger chance for rarer items) - Hardcore (Hard without loading) Levels - 24 normal levels - 8 boss fights - 32 in total - One level takes around 10-15minutes - First game playthrough takes around 5-8hours, subsequent playthroughs around 4-5h (with characters leveled up and player skill increased) - Levels have checkpoints o If team wipes, you start from the beginning of the level or checkpoint if you’ve passed one o Not on hardcore difficulty Spells - 49 different spells in total - Fire, Ice, Life, Death, Electricity, Steam Price - $19.99/19.99 € Digital only General Info - Online progression goes to everyone, unlocks get stored if you have not yet completed pre-requisites - Character experience, hats and staves are permanent and are stored for new playthroughs, only spells need to be re-acquired - Hot join - 1 joy-con support Platforms and Release Dates - (EU, US) and PC (Steam, Humble, GOG): December 5th - Nintendo Switch Japan: December 7th - PS4, : TBA
