Sponsor Brochure Staffordshire University Racing 2021 Promotional Brochure Who are SUR? Staffordshire University Racing are a young, upcoming team entering their 5th year of the Formula Student competition. Made up of students from a mixed array of backgrounds from Automotive and Motorsport Engineers to Forensic Psychologists and Games Programmers, the team are hopefully of building on the success of last year’s virtual competition and are targeting a top-30 finish in 2021. What is Formula Student? Formula Student UK is an annual competition held at the Silverstone circuit. 2021 will be the 24th instalment of the event, which runs the week after the British Grand Prix. The competition is run by the Institution of Mechan- ical Engineers, and has many notable patrons and am- bassadors from the world of motorsport, such as Paddy Lowe, James Allison and Ross Brawn. How Can You Sponsor Us? There are 2 main ways that you can partner up with the team, the simplest way is to be a financial sponsor. Providing the team with extra spending power will allow us to purchase superior, new components than we are currently able to afford. Extra money also allows us to in- vest more into equipment and can fund a wide array of activities, from driver training to the fuel we need at competition. A second way that you can sponsor us is by providing us with a service, for example, carrying out machining of parts where we are unable to at our facilities or by dis- counting a product that you sell to us. This is just as ben- eficial as a pure cash donation, we are limited with how much we can produce in house and rely on many com- panies for a variety of products. What’s in it for you? Aside from our gratitude, there are several benefits to joining and helping us on our journey. We will celebrate our partnership, no matter the selected package, by placing your logo onto our final vehicle, for the rest of the teams to see at competition. Teams share a lot of sponsors so by taking that first step with us, the next few years could see a lot more interest from other Formula Student teams! All packages also include as standard a social media plug and an addition to the “Wall of Sponsors” on our website. As well as a sticker on the car, some sponsor packages also include stickers on select pieces of teamwear which will be worn not just at the competition but also at business events such as the official launch of our 2021 vehicle. In fact, by jumping on board with the largest package, you will be invited to attend our car launch and see for yourself how you have helped us in achieving more than would have been possible without your help. Please take a look at our package breakdown on the next page to discover more about how your support will be repaid. Package Bronze Silver Gold Platinum Spitfire (£100) (£250) (£500) (£1,000) (£2,500+) Perk Social Media Post and Added to the “Wall of Sponsors” ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ Small Vehicle Sticker (75x75mm or 100x60mm) ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ Large Vehicle Sticker (150x150mm or 175x100mm) ✓ Small Teamwear Sticker (40x40mm or 50x30mm) ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ Large Teamwear Sticker (70x70mm or 80x50mm) ✓ Logo on Pit- Walling (225x225mm or 300x200mm) ✓ ✓ ✓ Invitation to Launch Event ✓ ✓ All packages have been listed with their cash values, should you wish to sponsor us through discounts/manufacturing, then please get in contact with us and we can discuss what package best suits your offer. FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE DE L' AUTOMOBILE 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship Belgian Grand Prix Friday Press Conference Transcript 24.08.2018 PART ONE - TEAM REPRESENTATIVES – Cyril ABITEBOUL (Renault), Christian HORNER (Red Bull), Gil DE FERRAN (McLaren) PRESS CONFERENCE Q: Cyril, we had Daniel Ricciardo in here yesterday explaining his decision to join Renault. When did you start talks with Daniel and just how did that deal come about from a Renault point of view. Cyril ABITEBOUL: Obviously, we have known Daniel since a while for the collaboration we naturally have on the engine side with Red Bull since 12 years. We’ve had random discussions – jokes – with Daniel since a while. It would be hard to put an exact date on the first joke about this type of switch. But I’d say that’s it’s a while since we’ve expressed our interest in him, the fact that we liked him, his style, his skills, his talent, his leadership and the fact that there could be an opportunity for him at Renault. We’ve always been clear with what we are, what we are not yet, that we are still in the making. That if he was interested in a turnkey organisation, in a turnkey team with a turnkey car that would not be with us – but if he was interested in a project in construction where he could play a role, we would be interested. So, you know, that’s where we left it and we accepted also since day one it would take him a bit of time to digest and to consider because it was an important decision, you know such a switch is complex.
