Monday 0930-1100 If you’ve ever even noticed it you’ve probably wondered what it does It Basic Computing Tutors: Zillah Warner, does a number of things that you might be interested in. Lorraine Brown, Alan Lees First it takes you back to the top of a Web Page, document, PDF file, email & Bryan Blake. etc. If you’re at the bottom of one of those, pressing the Home key takes Tuesday 0930-1100 Basic Computing you back to the top. Likewise, if your browsing through a long list of files in Tutors: Bert Foster, David a folder, pressing the Home key takes you back to the top of the list. Byrne, Denis McAdam & When you combine the Home Key with the Windows Key, you get a little Bryan Blake windows (small “w”) magic. Pressing the Windows Key + Home closes all Tuesday 1115-1245 Movie maker windows except the one on top. Pressing Windows Key + Home again re- Tutor: Bryan Blake turns all windows to their original position. It’s a great way to clear your Wednesday 0930-1100 screen of all windows but the one you’re working in — and then when Basic Computing you’re done, returning all the windows you had open back to their original Tutor: Lorraine Brown Thursday 0930-1100 positions. No Windows 9 – It’s Officially . is officially unveiled the name for the next re- lease of Windows on the 30th September . Its Windows 10. While the software maker had referred to Windows 10 as codename Windows Threshold internally, today’s official naming puts any rumours of Windows, Windows TH, Windows X, Windows One, and even Windows 9 to bed. It’s simply Windows 10, marking a jump from the mixed reception of Windows 8.

Snap enhancements: You can now have four apps snapped on the same screen with a new quadrant layout. Windows will also show other apps and programs running for additional snap- ping and even make smart suggestions on filling available screen space with other open apps.

New task view button: There’s a new task-view button on the taskbar for quick switching be- tween open files and quick access to any desktops you create.
