Ganan Tihosuco, Morelos Y Cozumel El Estatal De Oratoria, Declamación Y Ajedrez GANAN TIHOSUCO, MORELOS Y COZUMEL EL ESTATAL DE ORATORIA, DECLAMACIÓN Y AJEDREZ. Chetumal, Q. R.- Zacil Ha Tuz Barrera, alumna del plantel Tihosuco fue el primer lugar en el Certamen Estatal de Oratoria; Luisa Vázquez Márquez, del plantel Morelos campeona de declamación y Alejandro Vázquez Kuk, vencedor de ajedrez, fueron los resultados de estos eventos celebrados en el plantel Chetumal Uno el pasado martes y miércoles. Zacil Ha repite como representante del Colegio de Bachilleres en el Encuentro Regional de los Colegios de Bachilleres de la zona sur sureste, que este año se celebrará en Huatulco, Oaxaca. La joven estudiante que es asesorada por Julio Kauil Moo ocupó el segundo lugar en Veracruz el año pasado. Con "Prendimiento y muerte de Antoñito el camborio" y "Quintana Roo en 3 tiempos", la joven estudiante del plantel Morelos Luisa Vázquez obtuvo el primer lugar del Concurso Estatal de Declamación, asesorada por Rodrigo Estaño Aguilar. Se ganó el derecho de formar parte de la delegación de Quintana Roo que estará en el regional en Huatulco, Oaxaca en noviembre próximo. En ajedrez Alejandro Vázquez Kuk del plantel Cozumel fue el campeón en el deporte ciencia, también es parte del selectivo, su orgulloso asesor es Roberto Yah Uc. Las actividades fueron inauguradas por la sub secretaria de cultura de la Secretaría de Educación y Cultura de Quintana Roo, Lilián Villanueva Chan. Como representante del director general del Colegio de Bachilleres Juan Carlos Azueta Cárdenas, asistió Mirza Burgos Azueta, directora académica, entre otros funcionarios. En la inauguración Lilián Villanueva expresó que "eventos como estos fortalecen, ayudan y forman a los estudiantes para que el día de mañana se puedan desempeñar en la vida con más destrezas para asegurar su éxito". Mirza Burgos felicitó a los asesores de los estudiantes que participan por su constancia y atención a los jóvenes competidores, así como a los directivos de los centros educativos quienes brindan todas las facilidades para que los estudiantes puedan acudir a este tipo de certámenes. MARIANA ZORRILLA DE BORGE ENTREGA SACOS DE CEMENTO A EMSAD ALTOS DE SEVILLA Chetumal, Q. R.- La presidenta del sistema DIF estatal Mariana Zorrilla de Borge hizo entrega de 200 sacos de cemento en apoyo del proyecto de construcción de una cancha de futbol para fomentar las actividades deportivas entre los estudiantes del centro de Educación Media Superior a Distancia de Altos de Sevilla en el Municipio de Bacalar. En una gira de trabajo acompañada de Ángel Rivero Palomo, secretario de desarrollo social e indígena y del presidente municipal de Bacalar José Alfredo Contreras Méndez, la primera dama cumplió con los jóvenes estudiantes de Altos de Sevilla al entregarles el cemento y poder iniciar la construcción de una cancha de usos múltiples en donde los estudiantes puedan practicar sobre todo futbol de salón y volibol. En representación del director general del Colegio de Bachilleres Juan Carlos Azueta Cárdenas, estuvo presente Cuauhtémoc Díaz Torres, así como el coordinador del centro educativo Manuel Bermúdez Soto. CONCURSO ACADÉMICO COBAQROO 2014: 160 ALUMNOS PARTICIPAN Chetumal, Q. R.- Ciento sesenta estudiantes participan en 10 áreas de conocimiento en el XXVI Concurso Académico COBAQROO 2014 que se realiza en la modalidad en línea. Se eligieron tres sedes dos en Chetumal y una en Cancún. Los ganadores asistirán al Encuentro Regional en noviembre próximo en Oaxaca. A partir de las 08:30 horas será el registro de participantes, a las 10:00 horas inicia simultáneamente en los tres lugares la aplicación en línea del examen que tendrá una duración de tres horas. Materias como Química, Matemáticas, Física, Biología serán presenciales. Otras como Taller de Lectura y Redacción, Informática, Literatura, Inglés, Historia de México e Introducción a las Ciencias Sociales, Ética y Valores serán totalmente a través de Internet. En representación del director general del Colegio de Bachilleres Juan Carlos Azueta Cárdenas, el coordinador de la zona sur Cuauhtémoc Díaz Torres dio la bienvenida a los 101 participantes de la zona sur a quienes deseó éxito en el certamen. Simultáneamente en la zona norte Mirza Burgos Azueta, la directora académica del Colegio de Bachilleres hacía lo propio con el plantel Cancún Dos. Díaz Torres dijo también, "les deseo el mejor desempeño, que tengan éxito en esta jornada de evaluación, les felicito por concursar, por levantar la mano en las etapas internas para representar hoy a sus planteles. La vida es una competencia y como ésta, en lo sucesivo, seguirán compitiendo". Los ganadores de este Concurso participarán en el XXIII Encuentro Académico, Cultural y Deportivo de los Colegios de Bachilleres de la zona sur sureste que este año se efectuará en Huatulco, Oaxaca los días 12, 13 y 14 de noviembre próximo. Por los centros de Educación Media Superior a Distancia (EMSaD) se inscribieron 41 estudiantes, por los planteles 119, los sitios de aplicación son los planteles Chetumal Uno y Dos y Cancún Dos. Se evalúa el conocimiento de las alumnas y alumnos de acuerdo a los contenidos programáticos del área de formación básica de los planteles y programas de estudio de la Reforma Integral de la Educación Media Superior. ESTUDIANTE DE COBACH GANA MEDALLA DE BRONCE EN OLIMPIADA MEXICANA DE INFORMÁTICA Chetumal, Q. R.- José Luís Ochoa Monroy, estudiante del II semestre del plantel Cancún Uno obtuvo medalla de bronce en la edición 2014 de la Olimpiada Mexicana de Informática (OMI), que se celebró en la ciudad de Pachuca, Hidalgo el fin de semana pasado. De un total de 109 participantes de 27 estados del país, José Luís logró el bronce para Quintana Roo. La OMI es un concurso a nivel nacional para jóvenes con facilidad para resolver problemas prácticos mediante la lógica y el uso de computadoras, que busca promover el desarrollo tecnológico en México y encontrar a los mejores programadores, quienes formarán la selección mexicana para participar en las próximas Olimpiadas Internacionales de Informática (IOI). Para ocupar un lugar sobresaliente en la OMI sobre todo se requiere tener facilidad, habilidad y voluntad de resolver problemas, utilizando la lógica, el ingenio y las computadoras. En la edición 2013, dos estudiantes del Colegio de Bachilleres, Daniela Ceballos Zavala (Chetumal Uno) y Mario Mixtega Pacheco (Cancún Uno), fueron plata y bronce respectivamente. Lo anterior es una muestra de la calidad académica que se imparte en el COBAQROO. El mejor resultado que se ha conseguido como institución educativa en competencias nacionales ha sido por parte del ex alumno del plantel Tihosuco Daniel Cituk Varela con la medalla de oro en la Olimpiada Nacional de Química en 2012.

    Ctenosaura defensor (Cope, 1866). The Yucatecan Spiny-tailed Iguana, a regional endemic in the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula, is distributed in the Tabascan Plains and Marshes, Karstic Hills and Plains of Campeche, and Yucatecan Karstic Plains regions in the states of Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán (Lee, 1996; Calderón-Mandujano and Mora-Tembre, 2004), at elevations from near “sea level to 100 m” (Köhler, 2008). In the original description by Cope (1866), the type locality was given as “Yucatán,” but Smith and Taylor (1950: 352) restricted it to “Chichén Itzá, Yucatán, Mexico.” This lizard has been reported to live on trees with hollow limbs, into which they retreat when approached (Lee, 1996), and individuals also can be found in holes in limestone rocks (Köhler, 2002). Lee (1996: 204) indicated that this species lives “mainly in the xeric thorn forests of the northwestern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula, although they are also found in the tropical evergreen forests of northern Campeche.” This colorful individual was found in low thorn forest 5 km N of Sinanché, in the municipality of Sinanché, in northern coastal Yucatán. Wilson et al. (2013a) determined its EVS as 15, placing it in the lower portion of the high vulnerability category. Its conservation status has been assessed as Vulnerable by the IUCN, and as endangered (P) by SEMARNAT. ' © Javier A.   • 4 Present Situation of the Environmental Sanitation
    PREFACE In response to a request from the Government of the United Mexican States, the Government of Japan decided to conduct a development study on Management on Sanitation Environment in the Coast of Quintana Roo State and entrusted the study to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). JICA selected a study team headed by Mr. Hiroshi Kato of KOKUSAI KOGYO CO., LTD. and dispatched the team to Mexico four times between March 2003 and August 2004. In addition, JICA set up an advisory committee headed by Mr. Kenichi Tanaka, a senior advisor of the Institute for International Cooperation, which examined the study from specialist and technical points of view. The team held discussions with the officials concerned of the Government of Mexico and conducted field surveys in the study area. Upon returning to Japan, the team prepared this final report. I hope that this report will contribute to the implementation of this plan and to the enhancement of friendly relations between our two countries. Finally, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the officials concerned of the Government of the United Mexican States for their close cooperation extended to the study.
