Coppa Italia Coca-Cola Final 2019-20 17 June 2020 NAPOLI vs JUVENTUS This will be 12th meeting between Napoli and Juventus in the Coppa italia (five wins for the Bianconeri, four for the Azzurri and two draws). Their last encounter in the competition was in the semi-final in 2017, with Napoli winning 3-2. However, Juventus advanced to the final, following a 3-1 win in the first leg. Juventus and Napoli have faced each other in Coppa Italia final only once, back in May 2012, when Napoli have won the trophy (2-0) under Walter Mazzarri, thanks to goals from Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik. Juventus have reached their 19th final in the Coppa Italia, at least three more than any other side (AS Roma, 16 finals). Juventus have only lost one of their last 12 Coppa Italia games, against Atalanta, back in January 2019 (W9 D2), keeping a clean sheet in nine of those matches. Napoli have conceded fewer goals on average (0.25) than any other side in the Coppa Italia this season – one goal in four matches. Juventus have gone to extra time in six of their 19 Coppa Italia finals, more than any other side. They have lost only one of those six games, against AC Milan in July 1973 at the penalty shootout. Napoli are unbeaten in their last 11 games in cup competitions (excluding league games); the last time they had a longest unbeaten run in cup competitions was back in January 1989, under Ottavio Bianchi (13 matches in the Coppa Italia and UEFA Cup, W9 D4). Napoli have scored 72% of their goals in Coppa Italia finals in the second halves of games (13/18), including the last scored by Dries Mertens against Fiorentina in 2014. If Juventus will win the trophy, Maurizio Sarri could become the second oldest coach to win the Coppa Italia, younger only than Nereo Rocco in 1976/77. Lorenzo Insigne has had a hand in four (three goals and one assist) of the five goals scored by Napoli in the Coppa Italia this season; no player has been involved in more goals since the fourth round of the competition so far. Miralem Pjanic has scored four goals in Serie A against Napoli, including his first brace in the competition – against no side has he scored more (also four vs Bologna and Torino). Dries Mertens has been involved in three goals (two goals and one assist) in his last three appearances in all competitions, with all of them coming at the San Paolo..
