The sounds of rock' n' roll could be heard reverberating off the buildings from Monroe Avenue to Philomath Boulevard this last Friday as OSU's MUPC (Memorial Union Program Council) put on the eighth annual Battle of the Bands. For over eight hours, 12 bands duked it out for the title of champion of the 2008 Battle of the Bands, from rock to ska, and to metal, almost all genres were represented.
